It is exactly the same product (erythromycin) in both products, one just has a lower concentration of antibiotic as it takes very little erythromycin to actually kill cyno. This mean both products attack gram positive bacteria and some gram negative bacteria.

Thank you! I did not know. I used Chemiclean before a couple of years ago on another tank. I kind of liked the idea to have a more gentle solution. I still add Microbacter7 every day, plan to do that for 2 weeks to offset the loss of good bacteria. Let me know if you have other suggestions. Have a great day!✨🪸🐠❤️

@@swissfragreefer Mate, it is the only true cure for cyno, just wished they were more upfront about what is in it. Remember it is not ideal to put any waste water from it down the drain due to the type of antibiotic it is. In most cases even 1/20th of the recommended strength should kill off cyno, use Ozone to destroy the erythro when you are done and please do the same to treat the waste water when you water change for the next couple of months. Carbon will not help much in removing it.

So sorry to hear about your Mandarin. Did not know they have such a short lifespan in captivity compared to other marine fish. I have a ruby red dragonet who I’ve had for just over a year, he is fat and absolutely gorgeous! Just googled re: their lifespan - a bit longer than mandarin - 5years. Maybe a possible addition to your stunning tank!

Thank you Helen! I kind of expected they do live 10 years+ but apperantly not. It is always sad to loose a fish!😢 They are definitely little members of the family😊✨🐠❤️ All good all others seem to be super healthy and I am lucky as I haven’t lost another fish for years!🤞 Have a great night

Looks great! I have used chemiclean from Boyd before in the past but I like that this seems effective without being as harsh

I keep you updated if i see negative effects but for now everything is doing actually very well! Even my mushrooms and some of the acros polyps increased quite a bit and look super healthy!🤞🪸❤️✨

@@swissfragreefer I don't think I used the brand you used. And cyano and Dyno can look very similar. I know what really works is a UV sterilizer. Best of luck

@Swiss Frag Reefer yeah I thought it would be a lot. I switched to ATI essentials pro when I got above 100ml. Are you using any special camera lens or anything? The footage is really clear and not overly blue.

I can't keep Cyano away. I've done chemi-clean and red slime remover. Works for awhile and always comes back. I have a 55 Gallon two year old tank and have Cyano issues since about month 6. Medium stocked tank with blue/green Chromis, clowns, six line wrasse, your basic hobby fish, nothing fancy. I do weekly water changes of 1 gallon (maybe that's the issue). I feed frozen mysis once a day in healthy amounts. Use a skimmer. Any tips? I have a "budget tank" so I don't have the fancy equipment like algae scrubbers, fancy sumps, refugiums, etc.

The red slime remover is only a level set method. I have to work to balance the system to make sure it does not vome back. What are then your nitrate and phosphate levels?🪸✨🐠
