Cyanotype print dry vs fresh

3 жыл бұрынIn this video I will show you what a print looks like when a dry flowers is printed alongside a freshly cut flower. There are many differences that range from time needed for exposure, to whether the flower leaves a mark on the print. Let me know if there are other flowers you would like to see me print.

Nice prints! But i have some questions. 1. How are you making them to get this detail with sooo short exposure? 2. How long did you wash with water? I would expect to be less with dry than fresh flower. Interesting!

I guess it is how strong the light is. In summer in the UK the sun is very strong but in winter this same flower would need maybe 8-20 minutes to get this level of exposure. You just need to do some experimenting!

Are you using hydrogen peroxide + water in the pipette?

Yes I am, it is not a requirement but gives a fun instant result.

What is it you are pouring over the print at last??? Water or paint?

Yes, you need direct sunlight, I made a video about making a test strip you should watch. It's a short. It'll explain exposure times.
