I haven't seen much of their work but from what I've seen, I'd have to disagree. Not at all a fan of their approach. I honestly would have preferred if Production IG did this, given their experience with the GITS franchise.

@@Gaia_Gaistar I'm not a weeb, nor am I trying to be. I do not enjoy Trigger's style. I also am not a HUGE fan of Akira; I respect it for what it did for animation and I do think it has some strong points but I find it to be overrated. To me, GITS is my favorite anime series due to its great balance of a very solid art style, complex storytelling and (generally) great English dubs. As I said, I don't know much about Trigger but what I have seen from them is not very good. I absolutely DESPISED the dumpster fire that was "The Twins", one of their episodes from Star Wars Visions. On the other hand, they did a solid job with "The Elder" but I didn't find it particularly innovative or special either. Yes, in fairness, I haven't seen more than that. However, that was definitely enough for me to be cautious about seeing anything else they've been involved in. When you have an atrocity like "The Twins" which represents literally EVERYTHING that kept me from trying anime for most of my life, that's certainly enough for me to be worried.

@@jakobfel2 You know you should probably at least look at clips from other shows Trigger has done rather basing your whole opinion on them on only two episodes they've done in which they were allowed free reign to do whatever they wanted in the star wars universe in a non-canon compacity, so they wanted to tell a silly story where they flexed their animation and a serious story more in lined with the actual lore. They've done some great animes with beautiful animation and also, despite what you say about it not being special, Trigger's art style isn't exactly the norm in the anime industry; people tend to see this style of animation and instantly recognize that it's from Trigger

@@ariels8227 If I were interested in any of their shows, I would do that. However, I'm not really interested in watching any of their content at this time. To be fair, I'm not exactly the biggest anime fan. I only got into it about a year ago and I've taken it a slow pace. However, I always stayed away from anime because I was under the impression that it was mostly what "The Twins" did: goofy, over-the-top nonsense. Thankfully, I was able to get past that and start enjoying some anime (Ghost in the Shell and Cowboy Bebop are at the top unless you consider ATLA/TLoK to be anime) but I still have pretty hefty personal criteria for me to be able to enjoy it. Yes, I do go in with an open mind but I know what I like and what I don't. So what I'm saying is coming from a casual's perspective. If people like Trigger's content, more power to 'em but as for me, as far as I've seen so far, I'm skeptical. That said, I'm absolutely hyped for this. I may be skeptical of the studio and I may not be a fan of the character art, but I love the Cyberpunk franchise and the environment art is gorgeous.

@@lewis8614 I liked it a lot. It was really cool to just see another perspective of Night City that was totally new. It once again showed all the style and adult themes that the actual game leans into so heavily. Season 2 is a must, but I absolutely understand and want there to be other characters stories. I have purchased a few of the comics and they also tell great stories that's beautifully hand crafted around the source material, so there is a huge pool to already choose from. That's only if they want to use something old, something new is just as invited I'm waiting on the first 249 page novel coming out the 8th called "No coincidence". As I said before more cyberpunk is always a good thing 💯💯💯

Light tattoos, subdermsl tattoos with glowing elements crystal cyberlimbs- cybernetic limbs that are made of transparent material that look made out of crystal body sculpting- extreme plastic surgery to create a variety of effects from looking like a celebrity (without which the game lacks poser gangs like the kennedys, the bozos, or the philharmonic vampires) here are some of the variety of iconic cyberware that could have been in game and very cool “superhuman” features Times Square Marquee - a cyber optics implant that displays customizable information in a scrolling heads up display in the characters visual field. low light vision - built in night vision goggles infrared vision - built in heat camera. they even have this in the brain dance recording, but didn’t bother to build it out for real time use which was a significant in game plot hole. enhanced hearing - various cochlear implants ranging from the equivalent of a parabolic directional microphone, to built in radio frequency reception, to sonar. the videogame has some hand waving in this direction with the “phone” system but there is a lot more that should have been possible and it was never clear in the video game of the phone calls were using an agent or an implant. distinguishing the two use cases was a significant missed opportunity by CDPR. full conversion - full body replacement brain in a robot body. there are npcs with these like adam smasher and shaitan. but no in game options. cyberlimbs - this was the area where the videogame really fell short. in the original game cyberlimbs have a number of “slots” for add ons ranging from advanced cyber weapons like wolvers (think wolverines claws) and concealed firearms but also different strength enhancements, armor plating, chrome plating, synthetic skin, drones, built in tech tools, etc. the video game basically picked a couple of options and made players choose between them.

Well it's not an adaptation so quality has nothing to do with translating a game to a show, because whilst it's the same world it's a different story

I agree, Cyberpunk always deserved this kind of adaptation but I don't think any time between 1988 and now is as ideal as today to make it happen If anyone is qualified for this, it's the guys at Studio Trigger

@@StUCaboose - The setting is perfect for an anthology series. That way, you'd never know if the MC and Co. would survive until the end, and past MCs that have become legends could always cameo in future seasons. (A nerd can dream...)

Honestly, im guessing the gang David and Lucy chill with will get killed like tops episode 5 or 6 seeing as how the Maelstrom episode was at 4th and the trailer and promotional image mainly showcases those 2 David also seemed to wear an Arasaka fit and the vid mentioned how David got his hand on Kerenzikov or Sandevistan very early on and how he'll get more cybernetics, guessing a a possibls plot point is he becomes a Corpo and kills Lucy at the end Obviously all just speculation but FUCK ME this show has me hyped and wanting to play a game of Cyberpunk Red

But I think the game is different in that V’s actions are actually quite impactful on the rest of the world, especially the ending where you become a Night City legend after basically bringing down Arasaka. So I think it’s not too far fetched to believe that the characters might hear stories of a particular edgerunner making waves.

Not necessarily because you can immerse yourself into a fabricated world with unrealistic motions as opposed of making it believable world by involving real world emotions attached to details that might relate to real world controversies.

Cyberpunk as a genre relies heavily on japanese influence. Japan-centered cyberpunk universes are basically the core of all things cyberpunk, at least today.

While it's not a game experience, I'm sure Trigger can deliver a beautiful and awesome perspective of Cyberpunk. And can influence a potential Cyberpunk game project. If that happens. I don't think Trigger would agree to work with CDPR if they didn't see anything worth working for.

@@Ghues that system PS4. It 'works' on my PS4 but let's not be delusional it doesn't 'work' like it would on anything next gen or PC. It's a completely different game on PC, especially with modders that actually care more about this game then CDPR.
