Good review. It's a lovely mini PC and definitely a plus the inclusion of USB-4. It also looks good. I would definitely consider it if I had the money for one. Thank you for the video.

USB 4 speeds are really useful but retro tech and emulation is really interesting too

@@VrtuhubTech Indubitably. But because my main interest in retro gaming is for MS-DOS, Atari ST, Amiga, Amstrad CPC and little else, not many computers of the last 20 years that can't handle them. :)

@@VrtuhubTech I agree. I wouldn't say no to one. Though it is annoying how Intel gimped it by only allowing single channel memory.

@@TrusteftTech that's true but I did hear this has less of an impact with DDR5 ram but single channel is not something I've tested

How would you compare this to the genmachine 6800h you reviewed earlier?

Its faster in gaming supports faster ram too but I noticed in some CPU heavy games like GTA 5 it is CPU bottlenecked, I think what is happening is the GPU goes to its max speed and there isn't enough power left for the CPU so it throttling which makes it run slower or very close in gaming performance of the genmachine es. Everything else is the same but this one doesn't support a 2.5 inch drive internally

@@machineboyCom yeh I was confused but what I noticed is in GTA 5 the GPU usage was only like 70% whereas it went closer to 100% on the ES version. Means there's more performance being ignored as the CPU can't keep up with the GPU. I think the CPU on the 7840hs might be running slower when in game but I didn't do enough testing to find anything conclusive

I read that it does but have no way of verifying, I did plug in a 40gbps USB4/thunderbolt nvme enclosure and that worked with read speeds of upto 3700Mbps so it is a genuine pcie usb 4 port so it probably will work with an eGPU (obviously other factors such as bios and stability) and the specs sheet says it is supported. Hope this helps

@@VrtuhubTech Thanks for the reply :) I recently bought a GMKTec K6 (R7 7840HS) but it seems that their USB 4 doest support eGPUs or PCIe Tunneling, (I tested it and it doesn't work...) just wanted to know if thats also the case with AN3... thanks again :)

@@biocyber4544 As someone who owns a similar model to this mini pc. I'm happy to report that yes. It does support Egpus. I recently assembled one with a RX 6750xt, and it can very much run it without issue.

Hi, I have bought the same PC. I just wanted to ask whether you're getting any sound from the PC, coz I am not.

Through the HDMI/Display port or the front headphone port? Sound hasn't been a problem for me but you can try installing the latest AMD drivers and realtek audio drivers for the headphone jack

No it doesn't have any built in speakers, you'll need external speakers through your monitor, TV or plugged into the 3.5mm audio jack such as headphones

Hey yes It supports this, I have tested and it boots into Linux as soon as it gets power without needing to press the on button. You'll need to enable this in the BIOS under power configuration, AC failure Resume, [Always on]. If you do end up purchasing please using my affiliate links in the description. Thank you :)
