Its the 2nd time on BF1942 that a joystick has broken whilst I'm in mid-flight online conflict. This time I caught it on camera The 1st time was with a very different joystick. I was on voice comm with my brother, who was rear gunner in an SBD. We were in a tight turn gaining height with him shooting at a Zero. I told him to bail, he complained. I then told him that my controller handle had seperated and was 1ft away from its base. I didn't bother fixing that joystick I hope this video can help someone

There's no internal trim settings that I've seen inside any joysticks but have a look on the servo controllers as there may be small screws for adjustment In your situation I'd be tempted to dismantle it and look to see if it was constructed incorrectly. Its possible that where the stick meets the 2 servo controllers that the servos aren't mounted correctly, or the sticks housing is not holding things in position. e.g. Screws aren't correctly lined up, some screw may be under tightened, a washer could be on the wrong side of an attachment, something could be loose I suspect that one of the servo controllers may not be in a neutral zero value position when its inserted into the sticks lower housing. If you dismantle it to remove the servo controllers, then try to plug the joystick into your computer, in the dismantled state, and check if the servos report a neutral zero value, when they are free from the stick. If they do then there's a construction misalignment. Then check that where they are soldered to their mounts that all the metal arms are fully inserted at the the point where they're soldered. If so, just melt all the solder legs and push the servo controller into position If they are not soldered to a mount, then look at how they're attached to that mounting. If they're screwed to a mounting you could try to add a washer/some tape/a bit of paper to change the height of one side of its mounting position. If their legs are folded, check that they're all inserted and folded equally (Please take a lot of pictures during each stage of deconstruction, just in case anything flies away and also to help with reconstruction) Very good luck to you! And please let me know if your attempts were a success or failure If you search google images for "2Pcs Rocker B502 5K Potentiometer Joystick" then these are the servo controllers that I'm referring to, which show the multiple legs that could be soldered or folded into a housing incorrectly (edit: If when the servo controllers are detached from the sticks lower housing and they look centralised, but don't report a zero neutral value, then your problem may be a faulty servo controller)
