Thanks for the great review. I'm comparing this to the DS103, and it looks like this is simply the sleeker version. I'd prefer this version because if I want to see more I can simply use the phone app--my phone is already on my handlebars for other apps, so why have two big screens 🙂

Is there a way to turn on headlights like on a Bafang? Is there a provision for headlights on the harness?

Can the display be dimmed? I dont want to be blinded at night. Most displays have this option but I can't see it in the user manual and it doesn't appear in your video. Would love to have this clarified!

Can you change between race and street mode while riding with a press of the mode button? Or only can change this by turning the bike off and back on?

Hi Thank you for the review. Does this SW102 display allow for 0 to 9 assist levels? If not what is the max?. Is it easy to read the display in the sun?

I just installed a Photon motor on a friends bike. His kit came with a SW102 display like this one. On my friends display, right under "Info" there is a setting called "Gear". Your options are 3,5, or 9. This allows either 3, 5, or 9 levels of assist. What I don't understand is when you select 5 or 9, are you able to adjust those individual power levels? In the CYC Ride Control app you can adjust the PAS watts in Street or Race modes in their Low, Medium, and High settings. As far as reading the display in the sun goes, It's ok, but really the issue is the font size is pretty tiny. Nearly impossible to read when bumpy trail riding.

My display has a setting below Info, named Gear. Options are 3 (default) to 9. Any idea what that is for?

Mine has the same! On the app screen it shows a ton of bars that change with PAS levels but we really only have 3 PAS levels, i think that settings changes the amount of PAS levels? instead of 1-3 change 1-5? That or has something to do with the actual gearset of bike?

Hi there, I have a CYC PHOTON with SW102 and I can't seem to update the firmware as it says unsupported device and is asking for a password. Can anyone help with this, i.e., how to find password?

Can you run without a display and only use your phone App? I noticed only 3 levels of assistance, can that be adjusted. Looking forward to seeing what you can change in the App. The SW102 is nicer than I expected. How easy is it to see in bright sunlight? Thanks

CYC published the manual a couple of weeks ago, it is on their site.
