Enjoy this behind the scenes look at AMA Supercross sound testing / sound check. We will head to the pits to watch the top teams of Justin Brayton, Chad Reed, Eli Tomac, Adam Ciancirulo and other SX stars try to get their factory dirt bikes within the legal sound limits. If teams are not under the 112 decibels they have the opportunity to make changes to the exhaust / silencer combination. We catch up with AMA chief technical inspector Tim McAdams

Here I was thinking I was gonna support their reasons. That’s dumb af and annoying for the teams I’m sure. I’m also curious if they can pass your little test and go right back to their trailer and swap it back.

Yes my friend works for Suzuki racing in Canada and those teams are always trying out crazy stuff to try to pass sound check

You talk about the CRF with the stock exhaust ? I think he switch the mapping after every time it hits the limiter

riders don't care cuz we all have ear plugs in. but imagine 20 to 30+ bikes all at one time. lets just say that the ground shakes.

Seems like a lot of wasted money with noise reduction. From ama to racers, etc.... this is a real bummer when one get pulled over for loud pipes.

For one.. There is no way in hell Yamaha's pass that sound test they are the loudest bikes I've ever heard. Actually gives racers head aches also. Another why tf does this bike at 7:30 have 2 different types of over revs??

Taking Championship Points away for not passing a sound test is absolutely ridiculous..AMA has gone overboard with this rule slowly ruining the sport
