U can eliminate option c also bcz there is only 8 bits but we need total 11 bit (8 bit data and 3 bit crc)

Could u explain how to do this question? While computing CRC in a MODBUS Serial Line frame, current value of a CRC register is 7520h. If the next field value in the frame is 5Fh, compute the updated value in the CRC register

How many of you guys did solved the question and found some error in the solution taught by Neso. He has performed the right calculation but has written wrong option. So please don't worry. Just see the question and match the solution if it matches its fine. I mean to say that here solution is correct but their is some typing error in options. Mistakes are only done by humans, but it was a great explanation by Neso and I must admit it. He has really good content. And I always recommend him to my friends whenever someone ask me 'where to study CN'.

why the crc is 011 not 11 as long as 0 in left is nothing

Bro if 000 was CRC then also we have to use (000) not as 0. I think you got it ,because there is no significance of 0 in left or in right while discussing CRC.

sir i think we can easily choose option B becoz, CRC = L-1---> 3 ; Length of the msg transmitted is DATA + CRC---> 8 bits + 3 bits = 11 bits; only options B having 11 bits

x cube + 1 was given. x^3 x^2 x^1 x^0 1 0 0 1. because x^2 and x^1 was missing so we put 0 in its place. while x^3 and x^0 is present so we put 1. hence we got 1 0 0 1 as divisor
