We have cycled from Finland to West Africa, and are now back in Finland cycling across the country to the Arctic on an epic winter adventure ❄️

some may have disliked while viewing the electric generator add at the beginning. I did, until I saw it was an just an advert for a wheel rubbing generator. supposedly displacing and in hub dynamo....

Wow, those bike boxes are massive indeed. I think even a "normal" box for a 28" bike with front wheel removed is slightly above the size limitation of most airlines, but they usually accept it. With those boxes you guys challenged it 😋.

So good to see you again. I was wondering how you manage to travel on the snow. Last summer I built a Surly Disc Trucker using a lot of information from you all. I rode it through the winter and had to rebuild it this spring. The salt and chemicals that are put on the road was very hard on the components. When I rebuilt the headset and hub there was no signs of salt and chemicals getting past the seals. Buying high quality components paid off. I also rust proofed the inside of the frame. After disassembling the bike there was only a little surface rust and the bottle cage mounts. I used Schwalbe ice spikers last winter and they worked well. It was slower going though. I can tell by the way you make your fires that you are well versed in bushcraft. You two are inspiring. Praying that you will be safe and warm. God bless you.

You guys are rocks. What people don't see is the packing and unpacking and cleaning dirt and changing clothes, which is usually the hardest part. The time on the bike is always finde, but the times around are the toughest.

I would agree with that. The cycling itself is not the biggest challenge, neither physically nor mentally. It's putting up the tent every night after a long day, upkeep of the equipment, cooking in non-ideal conditions... But it's all part of a great adventure :)

You are the hardest and coolest guys on the internet these days. Amazing too see you cope with the cold. And if some people who demand the next Vlog while you are all day at minus 15 and below, I guess they can not imagine beeing outside in the winter with no gloves on and unsing a computer. You guys are legends! You must be the only pair of world tourers still in action with regular YT updates. If I may - please wear a balaclava and ski goggles to protect faces and eyes against the arctic winds. Happy cycling!

Thank you ❤, indeed we use sunglasses but the ski googles are really annoying since those get foggy. There sre other tricks to protect the face skin 🙌

Thanks for adding in the little details about the ice and snow and even details like taking the ice off your moustache so the sleeping bag doesn't get wet... for those of us in Africa we don't know about life in the frozen places, the clothes you need to wear, the different snow conditions etc. Keep the details coming please...

A little bit of confusion on my side, because we have here already May and you talk about "middle of winter" - anyway: You are really a phantastic team and do it the right way - love to see it and feel with you. I am glad that you made it already to Rovaniemi (since "middle of winter" if your HP is correct -8 ). I have never been to Finland, but I like the books from Arto Paasilina - so I know a little bit of finish livestyle ;o ) All the best and may the swamp be not too deep, the moskitos friendly and the wind in the back!

I cant wait for you to come to Australia, well Brisbane Queensland to be exact. I'm a member a founding Member very large Electric Scooter Group here, there is nearly 2000 members. Anyway when you get to Queensland Australia I'm sure a whole bunch of us would love to escort you through Brisbane. I used to ride Bicycles but because of a disability I can not sit on a seat and endure the the bumps, so now I stand on a board with 2 wheels and handle bars that can cruise a long at over 40kms an hour. (on private property of course). any way I love watching your shows, good luck, god bless and be safe.

The heavy things you have like a stove and a shovel and the way you saved weight by not having a floor are interesting. I guess using wood as fuel makes sense in Finland.
