Recently Jandice has been nerfed by banning the hero from Elemental/Naga lobbies. That is to prevent the Shellemental and Jandice combo. However, Jandice can still be overpowered in Mech lobbies. If you manage to buff up any Magnetic card and find just 1 Polarizing Beatboxer, you're already guaranteed a great position. Just cycle the Magnetics and enjoy the game.

Incredible game! That pivot was insane! No wonder you're a top player haha. Though I was wondering, why did the magnet mech comp drop to B tier? Were there any specific changes recently to the game that caused this? was wondering if you could have a video on it! Or maybe a video on divine shield mechs?

question, at 8:09 isnt it strong to keep coral and beat boxer and hold big megnatic in hand for coral and attack it next round, swap it back into hand for permanent beatboxer and coral value?

I think because it's golden it's definitely worth keeping it around for at least a few turns until you get another beat boxer (which Jeef unfortunately didn't get). It's not like the mech had a shield you would be missing out on if you didn't play it

I wouldve played so differently at turn 11. Wouldve used elise to find battlecry trigger murloc and pokey for gemsplitterr. That Jandice multiplier hero power is so broken lol.

I think it's actually quadratic. You're increasing the rate of increase since you always buff the magnetic at least once through attaching on another mech. The quadratic factor is very small though so it is still mostly linear.

Think so, he just adds the stats of the magnetic stack to the board every turn. It is a lot of linear scaling though. If he had the mech that buffed for every magnetic on a minion AND had 2 Beatboxers then there would be an exponential element, I think, maybe even without the second Beatboxer...

@@KholdaimonCould be wrong, but I’m pretty sure if we say he will gain one magnetic per turn on the beatboxer, AND the utility drone is on board, yes this is “consistently”exponential. There is no need for two beatboxers, all that matters is gaining x/x for x magnetics and x magnetics is gained per turn, which increases the rate itself. Might seem off because there are two separate variables (magnetic, end of turn magnetic).

@@PoorEdward Yes, I think you are right, with the caveat that we assume he plays this hero and thus can easily stack magnetics on magnetics. Atleast I think that if you do not stack magnetics on magnetics, but just on other units, then even with UD and Beatboxer it is not exponential scaling, just multiple lines of linear scaling...

I think it's technically exponential, due to the stats of each base magnetic minion making the stack bigger. So the exponential component is pretty small compared to the linear scaling. Something like 200(1.02^x) where x is the number of stacks is my best guess

I think a lot of the time when I watch battlegrounds streamers/youtubers I think, "yeah, if you put anyone in that position its a free win, you literally can't lose it" Watching them hit early Brann or a massive tempo 6 drop, or stay on 3 for magnetics gets old. Watching Jeef, especially this game is a massive skill gap, and I'm very confident if you let me takeover the game at 7:38 I could not have made the right choice like Jeef did.
