Cyclist Dies After Being Struck By A Motor Grader In Ottawa March 17/2022

At around 5pm on March 17/2022. A woman cyclist has died after being struck by a motor grader during snow removal operations Ottawa Canada. I live not too far away and heard so many sirens. I went for a walk and found this tragedy. My thoughts and prayers to all involved. God Rest Their Soul

as a grader op i would t least put blade down and raise the back tires up to get it off the lady instead of just letting it sit on her.

Wow. Sympathy to all involved. Tragedy is a crescendo of impact on the heart mind and soul. To come to self forgiveness is a thing equal to climbing Mount Everest. Rely on the support of those close to you and get back up when the coldness of the moment slips your feet for a fall. You can do this and resist placing limits on how wide the range of time and feelings circle you. Know too , all involved, when God has your mansion readied He makes a way to hand you the keys so that your return to the eternal placement to home is come. The loss of you here on Earth covers your loved ones in unimaginable grief never envisioning net’ seeing your face close to theirs. I’m so sorry.

@@kirstykin8260 while I fully understand the horror for the family, I've always thought about the driver. For example when someone decides to commit suicide by laying across railroad tracks. It is devastating. I am 71 and becoming more careful about my driving not because I'm older but because I'm well aware of how devastating it can be to make an accident of this sort

Yup, cyclists believe they are invincible and don’t obey road signs or rules.

@@truthteller6932 but i mean... even if you were gonna run the stop sign (on a bike I would too) don't you think they would check both ways, see a giant machine and maneuver around? I dont know how you dont see it.

The driver was a woman. She was inconsolable. My condolences to the family and the lady driving the grader. I cannot imagine

@@bvyup2112 , cyclists should also have to be licensed and registered, just as drivers, if using the roadway. They should stick to bicycle paths for their safety.
