It's amazing how she can hold a high note for almost 15 seconds, while adding vibrato and changing the pitch and make it look so effortless.

.... Mother of God!! What in the hell just fell into my ears?! Look, I'm a musician, I'm very hard to please and very critical. This right here is EPIC!! I've seen the comments and I agree! This woman has lost NOTHING, she hasn't souled out or changed for the worse. This woman is still in her 20s, you can see it, you can Hear it whereas many in her Era simply don't have it anymore. I've always had an appreciation for Cyndi but I had no idea how Great she is. She was cute in the 80s and HOT now, wow. I can't express what I'm thinking, this is the best I can flesh out. You are insulting Cyndi Lauper by saying she is "still in her 20s." She is in her 60s. Any woman and human being continues (if they choose) to be vibrant, thriving, and full of life in present times or what you may consider later life. Cyndi Lauper has accomplished much more after the door to youth supposedly closed. Many other doors opened that acted as a hall-like conduit to more experiences, emotions, music, causes, love, and life. I hope you will agree that the concept of youth is misconstrued and passion in a song is not relegated only to those who are younger than 30. Hugs and love to you at any age.

Hoje estou com 54 anos. À época do lançamento da Cyndi Lauper no Brasil, eu tinha cerca de 16 anos. Desde então, nunca mais consegui me desligar de seu trabalho. De lá para cá, muitas cantoras surgiram e desapareceram. Mas Cyndi Lauper permanece atravessando o tempo com seu talento, sua voz e seu jeitinho meigo e doce. Só mesmo quem viveu os anos 80, principalmente se era jovem como eu, sabe a importância que ela teve em muitos aspectos. O meu primeiro grande amor - aquele que fica marcado para sempre - foi embalado pelas músicas da Cyndi Lauper. Jamais vou esquecer as tardes diante da TV vendo seus clipes na MTV. Parecia algo tão distante, mas, ao mesmo tempo, tão próximo de nós. Aquele corte de cabelo único, aquelas roupas estranhas, aquele clima no ar de rebeldia e de quebra de padrões, tudo era muito singular e especial. Eu começava a me sentir fazendo parte de algo. This woman. Good grief! I saw her once live as the opening act for Cher in MSG and frankly, had Cher never even come on stage I would have gotten more than my money’s worth and I LOVE Cher. What an artist and one of the few who is actually better live. No gimmickry, no auto-tuning, no pandering, just enormous and exquisite talent. ❤️uCyn!

Watching this performance tells me, AGAIN, that´s she´s definetly one of the most underrated artists ever. Yes, she had huge success with her first two albums but then people just seemed to have completely forgotten she existed. She´s in her 60´s now and her incredible voice and charisma stil remain.

Presuming that you ladies may be quite young. Cyndi never was underated in her prime...may have disappeared behind the scenes in later years but she was not only talented, quirky & fun but an 80s fashionista as she wasn't afraid to be her own person.

The people always say Madonna imitates the outfits of Cindy but really is not true. Madonna was the drummer and guitarist of the post punk bands breakfast club and emmys and her looks are consistent with the music while cindy dressed like a peasant girl and sang with the pop band Blue angel until 1982.
