When my partner passed in 1995, this song became my mantra to help me through the dark times.I will forever be indebted to Cyndi Lauper for helping me through what was a devastating time in my life. Thank you for posting this...it is a very important piece of music.

Cyndi Lauper is one of the most underrated female vocalists of our time. Her material crosses many genres. This performance is particularly powerful and demonstrates just how much power exists in that tiny frame. Her performance quality, songwriting, and personality make her a legend that belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
@faceofboe9813 жыл бұрын
Cyndi deserves to be considered for the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame! No other artist has tackled so many genres with great artistic results. No one has shown constant growth over a 25 year period both as a songwriter, musician, performer and humanitarian. She epitomizes everything rock music and rock musicians should be.

IMPOSSIBLE! You mean that it's acceptable to like two different vocalists rather than one vocalist, one song??? BLASPHEMY! Lol, KZfaq will always be full of "DiD iT bEtTeR" comments (until KZfaq bans comments like they did with the dislikes.) It's a form of the "I know something you don't know" mentality. Sometimes you just have to say "ok then" and move on, lol

Seen Cyndi perform this song in scotland in the 90s.. Such a powerful voice from wee tiny woman. She stood up on 12ft speakers and gave it her all. The crowds listened in silence and the roar coming from them a few seconds after she finished nearly took the roof off..There were people in tears during it and at the end of it..

This is making me cry. Ms. Lauper captures the emotions behind the song...powerful voice and performance. I kinda like the hair coz it presents a sort of an interesting twist to the woman experiencing the pain...a 'fun' yellow-haired girl who also feels pain and needs to shout out and express her emotions!
