Glenn, I like your comment. You appreciate vocals. Cyndi is a performer, it's true. Unchained Melody has no better performance than flutist*, vocalist Ann Wilson. If you don't get goosebumps hearing Ann in the performance linked below, give it another listen. Cyndi struggled with a note early on, not with the pitch but it was weak and the vibrato failed. The "vibrato" produced by Dolly Parton and Stevie Nicks is not true vibrato. They settled. They couldn't be bothered. We learn what vibrato is, how to produce it and from where as children in band class, almost all blowing instruments. Cyndi Lauper has, I'm going to use a trite phrase here, but it really does apply to Lauper, delighted audiences and I'm not taking anything away from her. Rather I am sharing a performance that I love with you, Glenn, who I respect as a music consumer who I think will appreciate this version of a song that has been recorded many times. @@denisejustdenise Hey No Argument from me Ann Wilson can sing the Websters Dictionary and I would buy it. I`ve seen her Live 3 times once in the 70`s with Heart AMAZING Once in the 80`s with Heart AMAZING and once with her solo band about 3 years ago AMAZING. She has always brought it with Range , style, Class , vibrato , and passion. She is a force of nature for sure I have been a fan of hers since Hearts 1st Album. Always Loved the album Little Queen too. I know sometimes people write off the 80`s Heart but those were some Iconic songs.
