I love the way she sings this song!! My old favorite version was Annie Lennox, which is beautiful. But the "shouting" way Cyndi Lauper sings it is so filled with joy and exuberance. I can't get it out of my head!

I don't know who makes rules on this page but to knock a record isn't the same as knocking the person who posted it. I appreciate the post. At the same time this comes as close as I know to being a mindless vocal, without any point to the phrasing at all except to punctuate each phrase as if to tell us the phrase will soon ever over and another phrase will replace it. To my ears it's completely unmusical but others may differ and enjoy it. We'll never prove aesthetics mathematically.

The video quality is bad because it was recorded on VHS and then converted to DVD and eventually I was able to rip it. I love this version because she looks just so happy! This song was performed prior to her Merry Christmas ... Have a Nice Life CD. Check out Christmas Conga by Cyn! It'll put a little pep in your step.

I absolutely agree. Cyndi is a great singer but here the arrangement forces her to give up any sense for the vocals. Besides I doubt she cares about them anyway
