My parents were 18 when they got married. Too young to drink at their own wedding but that didn't stop everyone else from getting completely wasted lol . End of their reception cane and Mum and Dad went to their room to make things official. Right in the middle if the deed, the party got raided by the cops and one of my uncles burst into their room, dove under the bed and hollered - DONT TELL THEM IM HERE!!😂😂

@@Corelite-_355 my grandma got married at 18 and became a mom at 19 ☠️ It was basically an arranged marriage but it ended up working out, and since my grandparents started young it means I get around an extra decade to spend with them! So there is a plus side to the madness at least 😗

I don't consider myself a bad person by any stretch but I know myself enough to say I would’ve honestly made things worse in that situation because I tend to be a lot less charismatic when I'm pissed off. LESSON LEARNED: Never, ever, under ANY circumstances, trust a barber. They became barbers for one reason, to cut like the Barbie doll's hair you used to always style horrendously when you were 7.

I’ve always had good experiences with my hairdressers 🤷🏼‍♀️ if they felt like what i wanted would damage my hair too much then they’d tell me and advise me to not do it! I’ve even had stylist refuse to do certain things to my hair because they didn’t want to damage it!

I want to share three true Finnish tips on how to cut corners and save money by organizing an affordable and more communal wedding: 1. Take advantage of the free wedding and after coffee venues/spaces if such opportunities are available, which will save you money on renting a place 2. Allow your wedding guests to make and organize the wedding catering instead of forbidding them and ordering the food from the catering service 3. If there is someone in your family who likes to take photos for fun, then you don't need to hire a professional photographer to take your wedding photo

is it only expensive in the west? Me and my husband were married at Shrine in my hometown of Sapporo. We had families close friends and we ate at a restaurant. Spending money on something that is practically a racket should be illegal. One of my friends was married at the justice of the peace and we went to a restaurant afterwards.

Businesses have completely run rotten in the west (im Canadian) weddings, funerals and many other businesses that focus on social events completely oversell the idea of “can never spend enough on *insert special occasion here*” they make you feel that if you don’t spend that kind of money on your significant other you’re failing them.

Everyone in the farming district my parents came from were guests and the price was very very low. the west is built of greed and capitalism

Needless to say, we rented a spot at a local park for $20 and just got the cake, food, bouncy jousting house, and everything else for $2,000. Best day(Halloween) ever.

Reminds me of the time I was going to be a bridesmaid for one of my best friends and I had misremembered which month it was going to be ( I thought it was in July, but it was actually in June!). I was in another country with my mother and sisters visiting me when my best friend asked when I was getting home for he wedding. I had to scramble to get a plain ticket to get there the night before the wedding. I left my mother and sisters alone in a foreign country to look at my graduation art display that I did not have time to attend myself, while I took a train, a plane and then a bus to get back home. I was at my best friends house at like three in the morning the day of the wedding and got to sleep for a bit on their couch before we all had to get to the hairdresser later in the morning. The wedding itself was really lovely though!

Man what a crazy story, like something straight out of a movie or sitcom. At least things seemed to work out in the end, glad to hear your friends family and husband helped you out when things got stressful, and glad that you you and Georgey found each other, you seem so happy together!

My sister’s wedding had its crazy moments too. The venue my sister booked had these heavy duty doors on the elevator since it used to be an iron company and it almost broke my arm when the door almost shut itself when I was entering it to take two vases full of water to the main floor. The dress that was so careful not to ruin had water spilled on it and I had to quickly dry it off before the wedding started. Later after the vows and everyone was on the main floor, my sister almost fell face first because the back of her dress was accidentally stepped on by the groom. Fortunately she was able to turn herself and landed on her butt without ripping her dress. So, don’t worry about being perfect. All that matters in the end is the memories that you can look back and laugh.😊

i feel people who say weddings are scams are mostly people who get married through civil marriage (paper work and all that gov involved junk) and also paying too much for the reception stuff then they really have to. when my grandparents got married they got married at the church and the ceremony and sacrament was free, while they do have donations to pay for it, what you contribute is the persons choice or not to do it. After their marriage they just had a small reception at their house with friends and family standing around talking and eating. rather through religious or civil marriage to each their own I suppose 😅. I know in your video you said you won't be convinced of your opinion of weddings being scammed but figure i point out comparing which is less of a burden then the other but everyones experience is different after all!

i agree. spending that kind of money for a party is insane. i'll go to the courthouse and then the few people invited can meet us at some restaurant. no point in going broke at the beginning of the rest of your lives together.
