Chris never clamored for the lead, but can handle it beautifully whenever he takes it. I believe he takes the most joy from arranging the wonderful chords and progressions, and his work is almost always recognized. He puts together some incredible dissonances and transitions, and, quite honestly, I still miss him in the Home Free arrangements. The Rupps are all talented musicians!

I think Chris' willingness to be 'in the background' is one reason HF even made it to 10 years and fully self-supporting. He and Adam set the tone for how a GROUP works - every one works to make the whole better. Chris does have a 'sound', and he took part of his inspiration from The Blenders, which helps explain why we still hear some of those 'odd' chord progressions and resolutions now.

Thanks for the reaction guys! Country is my fave genre and i love Cypress Fyre 😊 I appreciate how even though country isn't your lane, you still recognize the effort and skill the artists pour into their music. Maybe they WILL grow on you like Chance did 😉

Chris' voice is my favorite. I love listening to his solo stuff. Did you ever react to Movin' On by Chris on his channel? Check out more of his solo stuff. I think when he's in a group environment he doesn't take a whole lot of the spotlight for himself, but when he does solo stuff he just really shines. He's also got several solo songs where he layers on top of himself and there's several Chrises.

This was fiilmed at Lake Eola in Orlando ( my hometown) and Winter Garden, Fl. ( the town where I moved to and raised my children). It was so very cool to see this video! They have a new one, an original, that came out today.

Loved your honest reaction/commentary. I really enjoyed the song and harmonies and love that Chris always appears very ok with sharing the lead and/or covering BGVs. He definitely shines in his solo work and has a lovely rich voice/tone.

Thank you both: fun reaction. I love Cypress Fyre. Jeff and Chris are in Florida. Chris’ Cowrote this entire album. I’m not a fan of piano/keyboard stuff, but I enjoy Chris song because their interesting and upbeat. I noticed both Chris and Adam Rupp choose to sig backup if they think others in groups should lead. I will sponsor more if other CF or Chris’ songs haven’t sponsored.

Hits from the bong! Lol. Sorry. I was a teen in the '90s and love Cypress Hill. Anyway, I like Chris, but more for his talents behind the scenes. Not trying to be negative at all, but that's where I love him, songwriter/arranger/producer, he has that in the bag. Super talented guy. By the way, did you know he's a wonderful dancer? Like in a professional way. Seriously!

I’ve heard many of Chris’ solo songs. He has a very pleasant voice (as in Do You Hear What I Hear). He also did Silent Night with Home Free (first time Chris and Adam Chance were in a video together). Like others said, he’s good in arranging and producing. Like everything we listen to, there will always be a song that will make you say, “Ohhhhhh!” Another good, and honest, reaction.
