Hello. Do you know or remember from which empire Ottoman's conquered Cyprus? Let me tell you. Not Romans. From Venetians. Then 300 years around with Ottomans... Then British. Then why you are hoping Ottoman finalize their extreme nationalism and imperialism? If you are thinking existing destiny of our homeland is because of Ottoman's, sorry need to check again.

You forgot the Venetians, the British and Franks and that Hellenic culture influenced the Ottomans, the Arabs the British the Franks, and so on. Partition would’ve been created one way or another. It had nothing to do with Turkish and Greek Cypriots. That was just used as an excuse.

Cyprus is Cypriot!! And there are many Turkish speaking people living on the island for centuries, my family have lived on the island for at least 200 hundred years and I am not Greek and never will be...

Cyprus is politically the only Greek-Turkish island in the world. First Greek, then Turkish. Why? B/c the Greek Cypriot population of the island is a multitude of the Turkish Cypriot population. Ethnically, it is the biggest of the few still existing islands in the Mediterranean with mixed Greek-Turkish population. Gökçeada, Bozcaada, Rodos and Istanköy (Turkish names) / Imbros, Tenedos, Rodos and Kos (Greek names) are the other such islands as of the early 21st century.
