I enjoy precision .22 rifle shooting the times I go out. I have a CZ 452 Ultra Lux and several other bolt action .22's. That 457 of yours looks like a lot of fun. I find that I am the biggest contributor of variation in my groups. I usually start off a little cold then get to my best groups and lastly, I think fatigue sets in and my groups open up. That's usually the time I switch to pistols and continue the fun. Great channel.

That is something I have really been able to improve upon over the last few years. I had been shooting ever since I was big enough to hold a rifle but this camera stuff was brand new to me when I got started on KZfaq. So I am really glad that you noticed the camera work.

Sir, there will always be self proclaimed "experts" on everything. Don't waste your time listening to them. You dont have to answer for yourself. The reason why we all like you and your videos, is because you are a REAL "backyard" shooter like we are, and most folks are. You are always real and haven't gotten too big for your britches. I hope you will always be this way. As for your shooting skills... well sir, you are a great shooter, dont let anyone tell you different. Keep up the good work!

I must say that most of my comments are very positive. Full of info and truly good suggestions. I will say this to anyone who criticizes your abilities as a shooter, they should post their videos and their channel so that we can review them and find out just how full of shit they really are. Because sir you are a damn fine shooter whether at a bench or freestanding, you’re either a master of editing or an incredibly good shot and I would lean more to the incredibly good shot.

Hey fellow Scuba guy, I think he shoots good too. I especially think he shoots good with a double action revolver but also with everything else as well. In general, bone stock rifles seldom shoot less than .300" groups with factory ammo within range limitations for the specific caliber.

Very, very fine shooting! That's my very best shooting ammo in my 457 Lux, too. I have the very same results, and I find it performs better than Eley Tenex. I did a short video on that rifle last spring on a rather breezy day, and was very impressed by the ammo's performance. God bless.

Outstanding accuracy........I love those CZ rifles (I own 3) and all of them do extremely well with any of the SK ammo. Believe it or not, a close second to the premium ammo is both the CCI standard and CCI Mini Mags with groups with those brands typically running under 1/2" at 50 yards at our local range (Koko Head / Hawaii) which is an extremely difficult range to shoot at due to the heavy crosswinds.

Just tried this ammo in my Ruger American Rimfire.. 16" heavy barrel. Absolutely loves it, prob is I have 3 boxes and can't find anymore now. 3 out of 5 shots in one ragged hole with the other 2 making it about 1/2" at 50 yards.

I'd get excited after that first group too! Great job, I just opened a brick of this stuff and hope that it serves me well. I wanted SK Long Range match but it sold out between me putting it in my cart and checking out. Desperate times, I hope this grabbing this stuff as a consolation is a happy accident. I use green 1” dots and set the scope to shoot above the dot so I have a clean circle to aim at. I also use a shoulder pad to keep the heartbeat from bouncing the scope around. Good shooting.

Nice work My Savage MKII FV averaged .270 out of 10 groups of 5 rds with the SK Flat Nose Match. I wish I would have bought a few cases of it when I had the chance

Good work. Thanks for sharing! My 452 LUX has a thing for CCI Velocitors. Groups about 1” +/- at 100 yd. Actually it is my first 22 that shoots almost anything well. My 10/22 prefers AmEagle 38 gr. HP’s.

Hi buffalo i just got a cz training i tried over thirty different kind of ammo the best results were sk flat nose same results like you and I'm also getting the same results at 75 yds, next best was sk long range.

Great review of the mtr and sk flatnose match. So glad you shot 20 something rounds of the same ammo before recording groups. My cz 457 American averages .420 @ 50 yds with a certain lot of sk standard plus. That is with a pressure pad of bicycle inner tube in barrel channel and a glass bedding job. Maybe your rifle would be even better with a bedding job? Also look into shaping your firing pin to get the strike just inside the rim. A lot of the 457 rifles suffer from less than consistent ignition because of this. Lapua center-x seems to be the top performing ammo in my cz 457s (pricey though). That being said you gave us a quality review and did the right things for precision rimfire shooting. Can’t wait to see a future review after the barrel gets more broke in. Thanks

I have to make a real effort to see if I can get 'my gun shop', to order some of this SK ammo. for me; just don't see it in our regular gun sores around here. Well according to their claim on velosity they were right on in fact a little faster. Great groups ,of course it all deepens on everything, rifle, bullets and most of all the shooter. Was really impressed with those flat nose bullets. Thanks for the great video enjoyed it very much.😊😊😊😊😊

Realy good video. Finaly some good ammo testing. That ammo works also realy good in colder conditions -10deg...Your pistol skills, realy impress me.

More to come! I think I am gonna try 10 or 12 different types of ammo through it and then do a shoot off with the top 3 performers at the end.... which will probably be early spring by that point....lol

Since I caught your first video on this rifle a man walked into a gun shop and found a CZ Varminter and 1000 rounds of Federal Gold metal match .22LR and it all followed me/him home. It's a tack driver at 100 yards with 5 shot groups small as a nickle. I put my Nikon Prostaff rimfire 22LR scope on it. These KZfaq gun vid's are breakin me! That flat nose ammunition seems to have a standard deviation of 16FPS. that's pretty good. Great video, thanks for the encouragement me :=)

THANK YOU! So glad you like your rifle. I need to get me some of that Gold Medal Match to try in one of these videos. I think I am going to try 10 or 12 different kinds and then have a shoot off at the end between the top 3.

Excellent Video, thanks for that. Guess what, I'am an averange shooter too, maybe compensating it with a little bit more effort than the averange. My MTR with the short barrel likes SK-Ammo too, getting similar groups.

Thanks for sharing. The flatnose match has shot well in my B14r. One thing I’d suggest, try to be a bit more consistent in your form. In the video you can see that your hand pressure (thumb) varies between shots. That can impact the POI quite dramatically with .22’s. Also, unless you’ve got your parallax dialed out completely, you’ll be more consistent shooting using the magazine. Raising your head up after every shot can induce variation due to parallax, which matters more at 25-50yds than it does at longer ranges. Again, thanks for sharing your results. My comments aren’t meant to criticize but hopefully can help you shrink your groups. I might have to get one of those CZ’s to play with. Looks like a great platform.

Another top notch job. I really enjoy your videos and appreciate your efforts. Never shot any flat nose 22. Started looking around and it's gonna be tough to find. I'm only shooting a Remington 581-S but it's a pretty accurate little gun. Just having fun shooting!

Pretty good shooting Buffalo. Only gun I've bested those groups with at that range was my Savage 93r17. But as I'm sure you're aware, .17 hmr's are extremely accurate in zero wind conditions. Throw in a few mph of wind and they're all over the place beyond 50 yards. Need to get my 93 up on the channel sometime, if I can find ammo...

I have been wanting a .17hmr. I can get a barrel for this CZ 457 but I don't really want to be changing barrels back and forth. Might look at those Savages.
