D’Angelo Russell led the Los Angeles Lakers with a season-high 44 points and 9 3PM, along with 9 assists, and 6 rebounds in the Lakers win over the Milwaukee Bucks, 123-122. Russell caught fire in Q4, with 21 points on 8-11 shooting and 4-6 3PT. The Lakers move to the 9th seed as they improve to 35-30 while the Bucks fall to 41-23 and go to the third seed, with Cleveland overtaking them.
44 points is the most points Russell has scored as a Laker.
Russell becomes third Laker to make 9 3PT FG in a single game, joining Kobe Bryant (4x) and LeBron James (1x).

No he didn’t. This is D Lo as a third and fourth option most of the time. Austin Reaves gets more Pick and Rolls than D Lo most of the time. As a first option he’s just too easy for a team to zone in on.

I already said it. You know fam. Alot of games turn into point guard/guard dominant scenarios but Lakers haven't had a True PG in forever. They need to run everything off DLO in the 4th and more when LeBron is in. LeBron kills all momentum and the offence gets predictable with their slow play.

Russell is a closer. Lebron and AD are the better players, but this man is naturally gifted scorer. As great as Lebron is, he is more like an athletic version of Magic Johnson. He is a triple double machine. AD is a double double machine. Russell is not athletic, but has a craftiness like Harden and quick release like Steph. Too me Lebron and AD seem to manufacture points by some jump shot, driving layups or dunks and getting to the file line. On occasion Lebron will get hot from three and close or carry games, but this Russell seem to have a thousand moves in his bag. He has should flashes of this through out his career, but right now he is killing it.
