‘PLAY’ continues the voice of the deep night expressed by the previous single ‘Stay Tonight’, it contains the story of a more beautiful hot afternoon than the night which blurred the boundary between day and night. After a secret and private moment, the lyrics were filled with bold and striking words like the angle of the midsummer sun.
Starting with Remedy, CHANGMO's rap which presented a new narrative combining the title of CHUNG HA's singles was perfectly harmonized to complete a picture as if drawing a pupil.
This song is a Latin pop with various elements of reggaeton arranged in each section. The guitar sound at the verse is scattered off the beat with an iconic reggae rhythm, warms the space with an acoustic guitar sound and a synthesizer sound that unfolds instantly from the pre-chorus, then a brass section and dembow rhythm with the climax chorus light a heart to everyone with a feast of rhythm.
‘PLAY’는 이전 싱글 ‘Stay Tonight’이 표현했던 깊은 밤의 목소리에 이어, 낮과 밤의 경계가 흐릿해져 밤보다 더 아름답고 뜨거운 오후의 이야기를 담고 있다. 은밀하고 비밀스러웠던 순간을 지나 한여름 태양의 고도처럼 강렬하고 과감한 단어들로 가사를 채웠다.
Remedy로 시작해 청하의 대표 곡의 제목을 이어 새로운 내러티브를 선사한 창모의 랩은 마지막으로 눈동자를 그리듯 완벽하게 어우러져 하나의 그림을 완성하였다.
이번 곡은 레게톤의 다양한 요소를 섹션마다 배치한 라틴 팝이다. 오프 비트에 뿌려지는 기타 사운드로 레게 특유의 리듬으로 벌스를 환기하고, 프리 코러스부터 고조되는 순간 펼쳐지는 어쿠스틱 기타 사운드와 신디사이저 사운드로 공간을 데워, 절정으로 치닫는 코러스부터 시작되는 브라스 섹션, 뎀보우 리듬의 향연으로 모두에 마음에 뜨거운 불을 붙인다.

I LOVE MANY THINGS ABOUT THIS: - Chungha looks so happy and confident - She give us a savage vibes but still look so gorgeous and cute at same time - She is the main character but still leave a moment for dancers shine too I appreciate so much how she is an amazing professional! In my opinion, here's what makes Chungha's performances feel different from other soloist's. Other soloists are like paintings, their dancers are the picture frames. But for Chungha, Chungha and her dancers are all part of the same painting, creating a big picture. The stage is the picture frame. That's why Chungha calls her dancers dancers and not backup dancers. Because they all are artists, creating the grand masterpiece together.

청하는 춤도 춤이지만 표정을 너무 잘 지어서 뮤지컬을 보는 느낌! 이렇게 표정 잘 짓는 가수는 유일무이다 증말. 단순히 카메라보고 생긋웃는 게 아니라 가사를 녹여서 표현하는 여간 재간둥이 ㅠㅠㅠ 피부도 하얘서 뭘 입혀도 무슨 색으로 염색을 하던 넘예❤

청하보면 그냥 멋있음. 요즘 논란된 다른 걸그룹은 노래도 못하고 진짜 가수가 꿈이 맞았나 싶을정도로 노력을 안함.. 그래서 청하가 항상 발전하는 모습을 보여주고 거기서 또 청하만의 색을 내는거 같아서 너무 멋짐..

@@apichu. look at it like this : I can do "thunder" dance almost effortless... so yeah this is easy for me... but since I am a dude... I avoid feminine dances because I don't want to look like a girl when I dance. It's just my personal preference. I mostly do boy bands

I love how they also let the dancers shine. In Stay Tonight the female dancers had the dance break ending with her. In Play, it's the male dancers do dance breaking. Her whole team is amazing.

Chung Ha's performance are literally picture perfect, the perfect balance between her dancers standing out and having perfect facial expressions but her still having the star quality to shine amidst all the talent, not a bad performer on that stage. I love it, I love that she doesn't need to dim her dancers and their talent to still shine. I love it, I love her, and I love her team.

He's Kim Hong In, he was on Boys24 but sadly didn't make it. He also has a hearing impairment, so he relies on counting the beats when dancing. Please support him too!

댄스가수 노래 중간에 래퍼의 피처링이 있고 피처링한 사람이 무대에 없으면 어색하게 느껴졌는데 청하의 무대는 어색하다는 느낌이 하나도 안들고 오히려 더 어울리는 느낌이 들어요. 또 특히 퍼포먼스 비디오를 볼 때마다 정말 춤을 즐기면서 추는 것 같고 댄스팀과 한 팀인 것 같아요. 언제나 같이 춤추고 싶게 만드는 곡 감사하며 즐길게요~💛💚

I don't know who he is, so I can't speak to the tournament thing, but he is DEFINITELY a highly-skilled ballroom dancer. The dance he and Chungha dance together is called Samba, and it's one of my absolute favorite ballroom dances!

Her work ethic, her motivation, her drive, her dancing, her charisma and charm, her singing, her flow of movements, she is literally the best thing there is. Her dedication to the craft of dance becomes more evident every time she drops a new song. She looks comfortable with dancing, like a fish in the sea. Chung Ha is definitely the best all around soloist who is an entire show. Please rest and take your time, I would prefer your gift like a slow drip instead of a flood.
