The beaches of Normandy were visited by British commandos to survey them. Two notable members of the COPP team were Scott-Bowdon and Ogden-Smith. They spent 4 days off of the Normandy coast in a mini submarine.
On D-day other members of COPP were in mini submarines to guide the fleet in.
