O.C. was and is one of the most important hiphop artist underground and above. the lyricism plus content is phenomenal. Quiet storm rapper with deep thought, deep rhythem, deep rhymes. Its a blessing to here him say something about his family up bringing like Rakim who's mother was also an artist so is prodigy's. Its amazing how those who had musical family up bringing like those mentioned have the depth in producing music and style that captures so many to just listen, shut the fuckup and listen..we need experienced artist on the mic not clowns gettem out, out!! long live real hiphop.

When you’re about to get sick, when you feel that initial “tickle” in your throat, smash up like garlic cloves, dice them up into small pieces, and swallow it, DONT CHEW IT. Just swallow it. When you talk about legendary careers and top notch lyricism yet severely underrated.O.C is that definition. He's one of the best till this day. Never fell off lyrically . He certainly influenced me as a rapper.. so many classic songs in his catalog. Brooklyn is a breeding ground for great hiphop solo rappers. Oc is one of em .Glad to see him on sway. Since I don't see a lot of interviews of hi m. Great hip hop 4eva.

O.C. would've exploded with "Word..Life" but Nas's "Illmatic" dropped around the same time and kinda put O.C. on the back burner. The dude is pretty unbelievable on the mic.I own all of his albums and if you haven't listened to "Jewels" you are missing a classic! Big L and OC should've done a full length duo album. They just meshed so well together, like brothers.

Word.. Life, Jewelz and StarChild are absolutely gems and Word.. Life to me is a classic. Word.. Life and Masta Ace’s Sittin on Chrome are two of the most underrated master pieces from the 94/95 era. I rate them as highly as Ready to Die and Illmatic.
