D.I.Y Install | BOS Jockey Wheel

Күн бұрынJoin us in this weeks episode as we attempt to install out new BOS jockey wheel. Typically @outside.normal where things don’t quite go as planned.
We ran out of time to install our iCheck TPMS, which we will do in next week’s video. If you stuck with us through the whole video, you will notice we have something else to install.
All these little jobs need to be sorted next week, as we start our travels again the following week.

Boss are a good bit of kit, we left ours in place so on you next destination you just wind it down, makes for easy disconnects and connections, have fun guys ,stay safe Ray 😊

What's the toque settings for the bolts?

You got there in the end that's all what counts, is the boss jockey pole all what you thought it is. We are about to go down a similar line don't know which one to get as yet.

We will let you know when we have used it a couple of times. We hit the road again on Monday. Will be in your neck of the woods soon.

Just stumbled across your channel, and so glad to hear it's not just us who struggle with keeping our camper level (it's a 2t off-road rear fold with an astonishing 300kg towball weight). Currently using the Ark XO 750, but keen to hear how your experience with the BOS jockey wheel goes after a few trips.

Hi there, Wowzers, that is a crazy tow ball weight, are you sure it is correct? Some useful information on our weigh video about tow ball weights. After using the BOS now for a while, honest review. Hubby thinks it’s fantastic, I think it takes a bit longer to set up than the jockey wheel as we remove ours off the A frame for travelling. You can keep them attached to make this process quicker, but we choose to remove ours. In terms of stability and levelling, we are finding with the new levelling chocks and the BOS that this is much better than the previous set up. We don’t seem to get that huge movement from van when detaching from the vehicle on uneven ground. We do lower the airbags now before detaching the DO35 hitch from the tow ball and this also contributes to less movement. Overall, ease of winding up and down and overall stability, this is well worth the investment. The only thing is when hitching the tow ball needs to be perfectly lined up with the hole as you can’t persuade the caravan to move as you can with a jockey wheel. More careful hand communication to the driver on my part, but we were pretty good with this anyway 😊 hope this honest opinion helps. Good luck.

Yes, not good. A week later, we seem to be back to normal (Kem) took longer to recover (4th time for her and 3 for me).
