This is mine to a T!!! Except I made my pieces 18” instead of 15” because I use a larger silhouette target? I also drill them for gutter spikes except for the uprights. I cut them to 21”s and hit them with a little flouresent paint to tell them apart. When I need to use those extra wide targets I just switch them with the regular crosspieces.

Great stand. However, reporting in 2023 post pandemic world those parts aren't as cheap as used to be in 2018 but still a great value.

Do you think this would hold up if shooting at a steel target? I heard the splatter can mess up pvc quickly.

Alan The Salamander I would recommend against it. The splatter will tear that stuff up in a heartbeat. Use electrical conduit tubing and there are so many companies manufacturing fixtures that slide into the conduit and make a sawhorse style stand with all kinds of ways to hang your targets. Shootsteel.com, shootingtargets7.com have some good deals. You can also check eBay and go into overload.

Raul Arredondo for the backing I just cut cardboard boxes to the correct size (I believe 24” wide by however tall) and the targets I buy on amazon. Just search silhouette targets and a bunch will pop up.
