Father Momotaro and mother Genki are furious. Their eldest son, Gentaro, has been on a rampage all morning! Baby Kintaro is frightened as Gentaro runs wild again and again. Momotaro and Genki scold their son again and again, but it doesn't stop until late afternoon.
It was calm for a while first thing in the morning, but then in an instant the stampede began.
父モモタロウと母ゲンキは大激怒しています。長男ゲンタロウが朝から大暴走しています！ゲンタロウが何度も大暴走し、赤ちゃんキンタロウは怖がっています。モモタロウとゲンキは何度も息子を叱りますが、昼過ぎまで収まりませんでした。
朝一からしばらくは平穏でしたが、一瞬にして大暴走が始まります。
0:00 最初は、父モモタロウと母ゲンキの怒りのショート動画です
0:18 いつもの朝が始まりますが、それも長くは続きません
普通の朝のように家族全員が食事を始めます
3:20 兄ゲンタロウが最初のちょっかいを母ゲンキにだします。ここから暴走がエスカレートしていきます！
4:23 ゲンタロウがゲンキに手を出したので、ゲンキは大激怒してゲンタロウを追いかけます
そして、すぐに父モモタロウもそれに気づきゲンタロウを追いかけます！
5:00 モモタロウがイライラしています
それに対してゲンタロウが母ゲンキを走りながらちょっかいを出します
5:33 しばらく平穏でしたが、ゲンタロウが立ち上がり、母ゲンキに勢いよくちょっかいをかけます
それに怒ったモモタロウがゲンタロウを叱る為にまたもや追いかけます
6:20 ゲンタロウが木材を持ってゲンキの元へ走ります
ゲンキは大激怒です
ゲンタロウは木の棒を何度も持っては振り回します
モモタロウはそれをやめさせようと叱ります
7:10 モモタロウがゲンタロウを叱りますが、ゲンタロウは高所へ逃げる
7:44 ゲンタロウは、毛布を持ってゲンキに向かって振り回します
喧嘩の繰り返しがしばらく続きます
8:46 母ゲンキはゲンタロウが木材をまたも振ろうとするので制止しようと試みます
9:09 エサがゴリラ舎に撒かれたので、一旦、騒動が収まります
10:10 しかし、すぐにゲンタロウの暴走が再開します。母ゲンキがキンタロウに授乳中でさえ邪魔をしてきます
10:51 ゲンキは授乳中なので、近くに寄ってきたゲンタロウに威嚇します
11:53 ゲンタロウの暴走は続きます。ゲンタロウは木材を持った状態で座ります。そして、その木材をゲンキにぶつけます
モモタロウも何度もゲンタロウを叱る為に激走しています
12:48 ゲンタロウが引き抜いた木です
13:14 しばらくゲンタロウの暴走は止まりません。木材を持ち、立ち上がります
13:27 赤ちゃんキンタロウはいつもと様子が違う兄ゲンタロウに怯えています
14:07 キンタロウはメンタルが強いようです。兄ゲンタロウが騒いでいても、すぐに平常心に戻り独りで遊んでいます
14:18 モモタロウが全速力でゲンタロウを追いかけます！
15:17 昼過ぎになりゲンタロウも少し落ち着いてきた様子です

0:18 A normal morning begins, but it doesn't last long!
The whole family starts to eat, just like any other morning.
3:20 Brother Gentaro makes the first move on Mother Genki. From here, things escalate!
4:23 When Gentaro touches Genki, Genki is furious and chases after him!
And soon his father, Momotaro, realises this and chases after Gentaro!
5:00 Momotaro is getting frustrated.
Gentaro runs and pokes at his mother, Genki.
5:33 Things are calm for a while, but then Gentaro gets up and starts messing with Mother Genki!
Momotaro gets angry and chases after Gentaro again to scold him.
6:20 Gentaro runs to Genki with a piece of wood.
Genki is furious.
Gentaro takes the wooden stick and swings it again and again.
Momotaro scolds him to make him stop.
7:10 Momotaro scolds Gentaro, but Gentaro escapes to higher ground.
7:44 Gentaro takes a blanket and swings it at Genki.
They continue to fight for some time.
8:46 Mother Genki tries to stop Gentaro from swinging the wood again.
9:09 Food is spread in the gorilla house and the commotion stops for the moment.
10:10 But soon Gentaro is back on the rampage. Even when mother Genki is feeding Kintaro, he interrupts her.
10:51 Genki threatens Gentaro when he comes close to her as she is breastfeeding.
11:53 Gentaro's rampage continues. Gentaro sits with a piece of wood. Then he hits Genki with the wood!
Momotaro is also running wild to scold Gentaro again and again!
12:48 This is the wood that Gentaro pulled out.
13:14 Gentaro doesn't stop running wild for a while. He takes the wood and stands up.
13:27 Baby Kintaro is frightened of his brother Gentaro, who is acting differently.
14:07 Kintaro seems to be mentally strong. Even though his brother Gentaro is making a lot of noise, he soon comes to his senses and plays on his own.
14:18 Momotaro is chasing Gentaro at full speed!
15:17 It's mid-afternoon and Gentaro seems to have calmed down a bit.

You realize that they were trees he pulled from the ground RIGHT? " THEY cant monitor everything. He threw a large plank of wood at her. What you all fail to see is this. Troops (gorilla families) is all females with MAYBE.... MAYBE a young son or two. Normally when they are about 7-10 the males leave their original troop and find another to prove dominance. Which he's trying to do here with his dad. He is confused because he's never met another female and wants to mate with his mom. Momotoro didn't even know how to have sex till genki showed him. This is the price we pay for having human raised gorilla's. Right now EVERYONE is in heat except kintoro but he's so curious he just plays monkey see monkey do for fun. Instead of removing sticks... Remove Gentoro all together... He needs a family!

The time stamp of each event is very helpful. It’s hard to recognize something you describe is happening when the video is long. This will definitely make it easier to look for what you are describing.

@@janet8031 Yes! I hope the zoo staff got those out of the exhibit as soon they were able, especially that long, rather pointy stick. Gentaro was getting dangerous with that thing and could have seriously injured one of the others.

Gentaro needs to go to another zoo where there are gorillas his age. Maybe a trade for a younger female. Genki is really too old (35 years) to have another baby after she has finished nursing Kintaro. I would hate to see Momotaros blood line end with Kintaro.

Life: Great video today......full of action. You were there at the perfect time to catch this footage. Love these video's where you can observe their behavior. Gentaro was a ball of fire today. SMH. I will say this, if Gentaro continues to show aggression like this, they will take and put him with bachelor group to prepare him for his own family/breeding. He's 10 now and is showing signs of maturity. I can say one thing about Genki, she can surly hold her own. She doesnt back down EVER. Poor Kintaro, he looked a little frightened.

Momo’s doing a good job of backing Genki up and staying engaged throughout conflict. Gentaro is lucky Momo wasn’t in bad temper today or he might have torn a strip off his eldest boy. Naughty Gen! Be good to your Mama and behave ! 🦍♥️

If Momo would have disciplined that older boy when he was younger and picking on her after the baby was born he probably wouldn't be like this now.

@@roxannamccarthy4576 Genki did her best in my opinion. Honestly I think Momotaro should have intervened more back then as he is doing now. Honestly I think Momo’s recent illness improved family dynamics immensely and brought them closer together. If one good thing came from Momotaro’s illness it’s that he got to see how integral he is to his family and now he’s acting not only as protector (he’s always been a superb protector of his family) but he’s now seeing that it’s up to him to also keep order among his troop and maintain harmony. He’s doing now what he should have been more helpful with back then when Kinny was born and Gentaro was misbehaving in my view. There are many extenuating circumstances of course with Momo being a father so young, his loner personality, etc.but it’s all evolving and I’m happy to see that lately he’s maturing brilliantly and becoming a more all-encompassing silverback for his family and helping improve dynamics among them. I love the family even when they have bad days. They are magnificent complex creatures and I feel privileged every day to watch them. If I could choose a career all over again I would have studied to become a primate keeper 🦍♥️

もそろそろ本来なら群れを出る準備にかかる年ごろですから、人間でいう所の反抗期ってやつでしょうね。もう少し大きくなったら、ゲンタロウも強さをアピールするようになり、リーダーに立ち向かうべく、モモタロウにも反抗しだします。そうなる前に、悲しいけど、他の動物園に移動させないと、危険な状況になるかもですね。こればかりはゴリラの本能なので仕方ないですね。

As old folks say, Gentaro is "smelling himself". He is now a young man (but still a boy) with raging hormones trying to assert himself. He goes after Genki because she's physically smaller compared to Momotaro. But you notice he only goes so far because I'm sure he knows Genki still has a wicked backhand. You notice Momotaro comes in to lay down the law, and Genki tries to calm him. This isn't the first time he's done this, and I'm sure this is normal for any young male gorilla his age. (Look up when Frank challenged Winston at San Diego zoo.) It looks brutal but it is a rite of passage. For those with grown kids, think back to when your cute, lovely baby turned into an "alien" between 13 yrs to 18 yrs before they grew up and became humans again. 😊😊😊😊😊 I believe this is what we're looking at here. We'll see the same with Kintaro when he gets to be around 10 y/o.

Gentaro is trying to flex his muscles at Genki, but she isn't having it. Genki had to remind my precious baby boy that just because he's bigger, doesn't mean she's going to put up with any of his shenanigans.

@@tinamontana8218 not for a while 2-3 years. Momo is young enough to deal with his son Gentaro. It all depends on Gentaro, every gorilla is unique and matures differently.

I have observed that when Gentaro was 2 , 3 and 4 yrs of age, Genki did not show him the nurturing and love she shows Kintaro. No holding him, carrying him around etc. He sits next to her and she doesn't hold him, she crosses her arms in front of her instead. Very sad for Gentaro when a young child.

They don't have that bond between them. Gentaro was taken away from Genki when he was a baby. That is not an excuse to hit his mother.

search better. there are plenty of videos how Genki took care of Gentaro before Kin birth. She as well carry him everywhere, sleep with him hugging, and hide from Momo.

Gentaro certainly had a case of raging teenage hormones today. He laid claim to that large branch and wasn't letting it go. Momotaro's got quite a workout chasing after and disciplining his oldest son. Poor Genki, she probably just wanted a quiet and relaxing day. Toward the end, you see her reaching out with her hand to try and calm her oldest boy . But Gentaro could not be appeased. I hope Genki doesn't have any wounds from today.

I think that sometimes Gentaro is incredibly bored, he will often just sit and look sad, and other times just really act out against his Mom. There is still some jealousy there as far as Mama Genki hugging Kintaro. He loves Kintaro though, but he can't seem to make that connection with his Mama that he desperately needs and wants. It is true that his start in life, being nurtured by staff affected his bond with Genki. It was necessary, and they did a wonderful job, but it was not natural for Mom or Gentaro. Throw hormones into the mix, and you have a perfect storm. Poor Mama Genki! ❤️💞♥️🇨🇦

ゲンキさんも落ち着かせようと12:35頃手のひら叩きを試みていますよね。自分でも原因のわからないイライラってあるよな。母ちゃんに乱暴したらいかんよ。ゲンタロウ君、君が父ちゃん母ちゃんが好きな、優しい男の子だってことは皆が知っているからね、ちゃんと後で謝りなさいよ。

Is Gentaro in the rebellious period now? Why does he always target his mother? Seeing him holding those branches, I’m really worried that I’ll hurt Genki... Although Momotaro is still there, he won’t always pay attention to Gentaro’s every move...But if Gentaro always does this, then he might be separated from his parents and Kintaro...so I hope that Gentaro is just because of a momentary naughty, instead of really wanting to challenge his mom or dad, thank you for shooting and sharing the video of Momotaro's family.🙂❤

Gentaro is close to 10 years old and will become an adult male gorilla 🦍, which will change to some extent, and the narrow space also increases the pressure of conflict 😔. Feeling that mom Genki understands the son's changes, she also takes the initiative to calm him down as much as possible. She is good mom very love two sons 👍. Fortunately, Momotaro always maintains family discipline, and he cannot tolerate fights between members. I believe that he should leave original family in one or two years, and form his own family of gorillas. I really can’t bear to let him leave Momotaro’s family 🥺

@@joeychen9124 我認為他不是軟弱，因為他也明白大兒子成長到可自組家庭的大猩猩，在生理上都會有所變化影響了情緒，只要沒造成過分衝擊而受傷，他作為家庭的領導者盡量保持各成員的和睦相處而且。大家認識Gentaro 從小就是善良純真的大孩子，他很愛家庭各成員的，不要因為各種不能控制因成長不可改變的過程抹煞了我們一直可愛的Gentaro😉

人間もですが、優しいままでは大きくなれないんですね😭でも、つい先日まで、とってもとっても優しい甘えん坊のゲンタロウお兄ちゃんだったので、あまりの変わりようにショックで泣けました😭ゲンキママにばかり当たり散らして…💦キンタロウ君のさびしい様子にも切なくなります😨これからどうなるんですか❓モモタロウ一家は❓モモタロウパパにも、こんなゲンタロウお兄ちゃんのような時期があったのかな❓飼育員さんの話しが色々聞きたくなりました🤔

人間と同じくゴリラにも思春期があります。特にオスは思春期になると威張りたくなったり、自分の強さをアピールする為にわざと大きな音を立てたりと誇示行動を取るらしいです。むしろ今の年齢この時期こそ、こうしてしっかり暴れられるのは、ゲンタロウ君が順調に成長しているという証拠だと思います。ヤンチャな若オスが落ち着いた大人のオスになるには時間もかかる。モモタロウ君も昔は今よりもっと怒りん坊でした。キンタロウもオスなのでいずれ通る道ですが、そうした成長こそ楽しみだと自分は捉える様にしています。

大好きなモモタロウファミリーです😊ゲンちゃん成長してきましたね。複雑な心模様がみえます😅　必ずくる成長時期。適切な距離が保てない、逃げ場のないスペースにいる動物園の動物達。室内用の扉を開けるなり、ゲンタロウをおやつでつるなり何か対策をしてほしいですね。長い棒も振り回せる強さもついてきたゲンちゃんが、誤って自分やキンタロウやゲンキさんを傷つけて致命傷をおったら大変ですし、それを少しでも回避できるのは人間が管理している動物園なのだと思います。行動展示の怖さを感じました。彼らは本当に素晴らしい幸せなゴリラ達ですが、決して本当の自然ではなく、与えられた中で生きていく事が定められている彼ら。見る側の私達も含め、人間が関与している以上、もっと人間が知恵を生かして『自然に返すわけではない、動物園の生活が全ての彼らの力』になって欲しいと、なっていくべきと切に願います🍀

And this why I say Gentaro needs to be moved. This is not an isolated incident. He always has exhibited this aggressive behavior and it will only increase because he is older, hormones, and his naughty nature. This isn't cute. Momotaro needs to roll his arse up into a football and toss it into that pit like he did awhile back. You can see anxiety all on Genki's face. She does not deserve this. And take those sticks and logs out of that barren enclosure, for safety sake.

Gentaro has never won any warm fuzzies from me and I used to be pretty vocal about how I felt about him and his actions until one person decided to pop off with how noone shares my opinion about Gentaro and how much of a mental case she thought I was. Whatever..... I chose not to respond in a ugly manner just wished her a blessed day...... Just wondering what everyone is thinking of Gentaro now that they know he is sodomizing Little Kintaro. I wasn't shocked by the"Dry Humping" . What did horrify me was in the new video Gentaro is actually penetrating Kintaro...... And like a couple other's have stated that has been going on for about a year. I'm wondering if that will affect Kintaro when they move Gentaro and in the future? I also noticed at the end of the video when Momo came to the bix Gentaro took off, but Kintaro looked like he was backing into Momo like he does with Gentaro..... That really made me feel bad..... Cassandra,letswalktogether, Wilson your comments was ok to me till i read second one on above.(long one) you talk about “sodomizing” that kind ward here,😱you should be shame your self to express ward like this 😱😕 “dry humping”are ok to say . and before you comment here on public. you should learn little more about ape behavior . like “dry humping” are normal behavior when they are half way to teens. they do that ,just play,even girls do that. so do not overreact what ever they do. please study more about animal behavior if you have chance. anyway i strongly agree what Jade comments. it is too much for Genki. i feel sorry for her.

As much as Gentaro can be gentle and loving toward his brother but sometime I think kintaro need to learn & defend himself for what worst could happened. Gentaro can just acting wild so sudden & started attacking! I saw just other KZfaqrs video Gentaro action was more aggressive over there! Especially with the wood omg he attacked Genki with it several times! it's so dangerous!! 😳 He clearly see Genki as a threat at times. Poor mama she would be stressed from time to time dealing with this & kintaro look so scared 😌💜

This is their instinct. Young gorilla's start to show dominance early on, (before they become sliver backs) and can play rough. They will be ok. Gentaro is just being a 10 year old gorilla. He would not intentionally hurt his brother. There is 7 years difference in age. This going to happen from time to time. Momo will watch over them. No worries.

@@ellenknell9645 yeah I just got a little worried because as I have seen a few recent video of the brothers playing together Gentaro kinna being more rough playing and sometimes Kinny get startled. And I'm worried for mama mental health being stressed... just can't help it being over worried for the family because I just love & care for them 😌 but thanks for the explanation I feel better 🤗

I've been saying no more baby gorillas since I started talking about love and want another babies and Mama wanted another you know offspring or whatever and that was in the spring. And now everybody's getting so excited about her having another baby a girl. But they forget that Mama has a hard time getting pregnant she has miscarriages she almost lost the older boy cuz she didn't have enough milk and he lost his body temperature they pulled him out Christmas at 4 days old and hand raised him till he was 10 months old. Then you got baby boy who every year old look like he was 5 months old and the keepers had to step in and bottle feed him and give him baby food and all kinds of snacks because again Mama had no milk. Somebody said he went a month or better and didn't gain 1 lb that's why they always did the growth charts on him and he was having so much trouble growing and gaining weight. She does not need any more kids And and beans that baby boy was not taken away and has been with her the whole time and breastfed they have that mother son Bond and I think that if she does have another baby it's going to be jealousy all over again but maybe worse because of that special bond that the gorilla and Mama share. And she can't handle that she's getting too old in the stress is just way too much on her.

Yee gads! Gentaro looks like a caveman with a club. Once, when he set it down, I thought he was going to pick up that huge trunk they all sit on. Genki sure has the energy for this but Gentaro is getting a bit big for her. Good to see Momo step in but he seems to wear out fast. Love Kinny at 7:55, calmly sitting in the middle of the chaos, he glances over his shoulder at dad, ‘’Just another day at the beach, eh?’’

Today, how is Gentaro ? Why does he act so violently? I'm very surprised with this happening and shocked 😟 Momo seems to protect Genki, so he gets angry with Gentaro. By the way, does Gen become irritable when some stress builds up ? This is so unusual! Gentaro is generally so mild mannered but something's surely aggravating him today. Whatever can it be? Hope somebody takes that pole out of the enclosure before he hurts Genki with it. Even the chance of making his Father mad doesn't seem to stop him.😕

Talvez seja stresse. Gentaro ultimamente é mãe e pai de Kintaro. Quer atenção também. Momotaro não brinca ou joga com ele. A nossa linda e carinhosa Genki ainda tem que comer muito para amamentar Kintaro. Gentaro esta exauto. Cuidar do Kintaro requer muita energia. Momotaro gosta de ficar quieto e Gentaro que tem que ser o pai para Kintaro, pelo menos com o jogo. Ela é paciente com Genta, Momo colocou ordem na casa e o adorado Kintaro esta atonito, sem saber pir que o querido irmão esta desta forma. Espero que a calma volte a reinar na família. Seria bom ter aviso de silêncio próximo da casa deles😘😘😘valeu o vídeo.

Thanks for the suggestion. To be honest, in this video I turned down the volume to large extent. If I do more so, you can't hear all sounds the gorilla family make at all. I would do it if most viewers want me to turn down more the sound, though. In that case, viewers will not be able to hear any sounds by the gorilla family .(their voices or drumming or other sounds they create) Thanks for your understanding.To be honest, in this video I turned down to large extent.

I watched this video again... And it Hurts my Heart to see my Beautiful GENKI getting hurt!!!! Why they have that damm Giant stick in there is beyond me!!!!!!!!! I really Wish Gentaro would take that stick and shove it up one of the zoo keeper's ass!!!!!! They should Not have that stick in there in the first place!!! Gentaro used it as a weapon against poor GENKI!!!!! It makes me so MAD!!!! And now we can't see the MOMOTARO FAMILY, God only knows what's happening to them!!! i like to ask about how Momotaro was Ueno zoo. when he get silver back . at Ueno Zoo momotaro was separated from his mom once . then he came to Kyoto zoo. as long as i remember 🤔 so momotaro was kind like same toward his mom ? when he gets adolescent ? may be that why momotaro doesn’t give hard punishment to Gentaro . bc he understand how he is from his experience 🤔

If some the things said is true gentero when did he abuse his brother I always felt that they got along beautiful except he was mad jealous of his baby brother because their mom was only paying attention to babyboy .never seen that video
