On his most recent appearance on the View he said: "The most dangerous place for black people in America is to exist in the imagination of white people's minds." Legendary? Time will tell. But that statement is Classic.
@AlbertLara
@AlbertLara 6 жыл бұрын
Keith Bell Saw that. I guess Black people should carry around sock puppets to distract the hyperactive imaginations of white people who immediately feel threatened. Specially around white cops that imagine monsters under their bed, in their closets, and while they work. 😂😂😂
@keithbell9348
@keithbell9348 6 жыл бұрын
Albert Lara - wouldn't know anything about white cops getting spooked about things that go bump in the night. I also wouldn't know anything about any white person feeling threatened by me. If they are, that's their problem. Nor can I personally relate to feeling threatened by any white person. In short, I dont know what the hell your talking about. But if you want to lump "all black people" in a box go ahead. That's very prejudiced of you.

Albert Lara you mean white cops that say "stop" or "get your hands out of your pockets" or "stop reaching for that gun" and then shoot because many black people have a problem with authority, especially if that authority is a color they don't like (white).

He is obviously extremely racist with a chip on his shoulder. It sucks that he is trying his hardest to keep racism alive and well
@obeth9425
@obeth9425 4 жыл бұрын
@@trevino3798 I'm sorry you feel that way my friend. If I can state an opinion based off of my experiences and my environment, it seems that whites unjustifiably have a problem with black people speaking bluntly on race relations. They also have a problem with blacks speaking on slavery, and in my experiences white men in particular. Yet they have such a high level of ignorance to what goes on in our community. I hear a few try to discuss their moments of 'racism' and 'police harassment' as if to say we all go through the same things. They say things like "slavery doesn't affect you today" and other falsities. If you feel that way as well (and I hope you don't), then you clearly are clueless as to what goes on in our communities. Personally, just as much as you hate hearing about this from someone like him, I hate hearing the opinions of those whites who make comments and do not LIVE in our communities and go through what we do. Usually these are people who's experiences with my people's history are the few blacks they work with or what they see from TV. But if you haven't been fully submerged in an environment and lived the experiences of those in it, then you should know how uninformed you really are about it. And I don't mean volunteering, then leaving to go back to your home. To someone on your side, it may look like racism, but ask yourself this (AND REALLY, THIS IS BIG) : when in American history have white people AS A WHOLE recognized racism as a problem in America? The answer is NEVER, and you need to be aware of that. Take time to research polls through each previous decade all the way back to slavery, and you'll see that IN EVERY DECADE OVER 80% OF WHITES DIDNT THINK AMERICA HAD AN ISSUE WITH RACISM. Look that up. Through the 00's, 90's, 80's, 70's, 60's, all the way back to the 1800's, whites believed this. Even during the Jim Crow era. Even during the 'Unfair Housing Act' lol.Even while white people were lynching/castrating us (90% of our hangings were castrations as well unlike any other race in human history). In their minds America didn't have a racism issue. So with that being said, if we know that racism was clearly alive in all those eras, then when exactly did it all get cleared up? Please don't be silly and say when Obama became president lol. My friend, it factual that whites as a whole (not individuality) don't recognize racism as a problem til it is in hindsight. It's not racist to inform people the way he does. I can understand a lot of things he says may not be palatable for some, but I've yet to see him proven wrong. Do you think it was appropriate for Meghan Kelly to discuss policing communities with Mark Fuhrman? When another black teenager is shot in the back while running from police, do you really, really think it's appropriate to ask "well why'd he run?" instead of why was he shot in the back? You've probably got a host of stories got can share on your dealings with the law, and you'd likely be a rarity. Every black man living in our communities do. I've been on several police cars in my youth, year after year, without doing a single crime. Just procedural human rights violations as a child and young adult. I went on far longer than I intended, but this issue is serious and it seems that white men in particular seem to have such an issue when blacks bring up racism and slavery as a topic. Our poor ccommunities, underfunded schools, lack of wealth and resources all to this day are all factors that stem FROM slavery. If not, then show me the ONE era when blacks as a whole were given equality and resources equally to whites across the country. Never. The differences in education in your schools and mine are sickening (I've attended both). Next time you're out, go shop at a grocery store deep in our communities. It's disgusting what we're alloted to but. Maybe white males, being as they were our captors through the hundreds of years and who've made every law that oppressed us in some way throughout American history, should do a little homework on our people and our communities before they attack the opinions of one of us. Just sayin.

Why aren't black politicians having these conversations? We're so defeated as a people that our athletes and entertainers are bolder than the people who should be out front fighting racist and bigoted American public policy vocally. Obama didn't do it.
