D-Link DWR-M960 Router firmware bricked reinstall Easily without any software | Smart Brain💡

D-Link firmware recovery procedure: (I wish this will work for all d-link router)
Change IP address of your laptop/PC to 192.168.1.2 and Default gateway 192.168.1.6
For Help You Can Contact To This Email: Sikander@me.dlink.com
First of all, connect to your dwr-m960 using ethernet cable.
Then Press the Reset button on dwr-m960 for 15 seconds and power OFF the device
keep pressing the RESET button and power ON the device./-
OR press and hold the RESET button for 5 seconds then power ON the device and keep pressing the RESET button for 10-15 seconds.
And now you have to change the IP address of laptop/PC.
(To change the IP address & Default gateway go to the -Settings/Network & internet/Ethernet/Change adapter options/Ethernet/
Properties/Internet protocol version 4/Use the following IP address-)
then enter IP address:192.168.1.2 Subnet mask:255.255.255.0 Default gateway:192.168.1.6 then press OK.
In the browser put 192.168.1.6 and the emergency page should popup and then upload the firmware
file that you downloaded from D-link website for your device model.

I have d link dwr m961 A3 and couldn't find the firmware. The firmwares on dlink site actually bricked the router and also there's no alternative firmwares for it like ddwrt or openwrt. It's actually a rebrand for Jordanian company (zain jordan). Did anyone manage to solve a similar issue?

Hello Am using D-Link DWR-M960 A2 which has a same issues. after update the firmwere thorugh wireless, and i have tried your instructions, but still i cannot able to fix it.

Did your browser opened "Firmware Update" page ?? If "Yes" then you have to download firmware file from D-link website or any site for your exact router model to update. Then upload that file to "Firmware Update" page. That's all.

Hello Thanks for the helpful tips. However, my problem is still not fully resolved. I tried two of the firmwares you provided.😥 After the upgrade, the problem of the router has not been solved and it is still bricked. Any suggestions are appreciated in advance.

Did you followed the steps? And let me suggest you something. First of all, Use ethernet cable to update the firmware. Then if your router's model no: D-link DWR-M960, then download the firmware file that i already gave you in video's description. Then you will see that i putted a default version firmware file of DWR-M960 (V1.1.45), then update with that file. After completion of Update, change the IP's as did in the video, then log in into your router using browser, then update with the latest version of firmware V1.1.51 if you want. And i wish this will work for you if you follow the complete steps.

@@smart-brainthanks for reply. I followed all the steps. Yes, I connected with a cable and the upgrade page comes up on the browser for me. My device model is dwr-m960 A2. I also tried version 1.1.45 and it didn't work. The router restarts every 53 seconds and doesn't work.

My dlink router is dir 615 and i got the same problem but each and every time i upload the firmware it again shows the same web page "emergency web server" and it not fixing

Try to Reset the router using reset button.

Because you're using DWR-M960 A2 not DWR-M960. You can contact him Sikander@me.dlink.com to get your model's firmware file.

@@smart-braini contact with them, and i upload firmware, but router can’t start up, still one light then one light and back to 5 lights, then i have reset and like this every time, no benefit bro
