This is a video I made from other youtube's videos ,about 3 of the most famous London men toiletries, hair dressing and barbershop : D. R. Harris , Geo F Trumper and Taylor of Old Bond Street.Unfortunately,I couldn't find one for Truefitt and Hill.
The first segment shows the D.R. Harris & CO store , located at 29 St James Street.
The second segment is about Geo F Trumper barbershop and store (this segment was part of a documentary about how Victorian men used to live ). I do thank to sunburyboy93 (a member of the UK based wet shaving forum,The Shaving Room ) for this segment.
The third one is about how to open a Taylor of Old Bond Street franchise store , and show us its shop in London , located at 74 Jermyn Street.

I love Taylor of Old Bond Street shaving Cream. I have been wet shaving since 2021. But My dad wet shaved with Taylor of Old Bond Street Lavender when I was a kid!

When I switched to a double edge razor I shopped around for different brands but once I tried Trumper, that's all I go with.

I been in this shop several times dressed in a suit,jeans and t-shirt and even a pair of shorts all depending on what I’m up to and the time of year and I have to say I’ve always been treated very well by the staff on every occasion.Never forgot a £20 note has the same value whether it comes out of my pocket or Bill Gates.

Same here, i was there in 2015 wearing sneakers, a blue jeans, a heavy metal band shirt and on my wrist there was an affordable casio watch. I was quiet shy to enter the shop, it was not planned either. As i step in, i was treated very well too. Very good service and support. a young man spending a little bit over 15 minutes with me and my questions. At the cashier i left with a bit over 50 £ payed in cash and i would highly suggest to visit it again. sorry for my bad english.

All three of the stores had friendly staff to me. It was Truefitt & Hill who act d a bit rude. And they were very expensive! Oh well I can say I visit these stores but I'd prefer to purchase products on line.

I started working in St James's Street in 1966, and regularly shopped in D R Harris. It's exactly as I remember it. And I had my hair cut in Jermyn Street, in Taylors of Old Bond Street. Stanley was hilariously pretentious but everyone was always polite. The grooming products were a small sideline then. It looks like the small sideline has swamped the hairdressers.

Am surprised TOB uses cartridge blades in their razors and not DE blades, if they do I have never seen any.

Staff at DR Harris was extremely dreadful. Their secents are really watered down smell lasts around 30 minutes The staff was snobby and over talked me maybe because I was wearing jeans?. Trumpers fantastic customer service, i was treated like a king hence i spent money in their shop and I continue to go back, soanish leather cologne very nice indeed, a customer for life. their scents are absolutely amazing. Taylors another fine company I love their No74 (green) cologne and aftershave very unique scent, again fantastic customer services.

Staff at Taylor of Old Bond Street were rude and unhelpful. I was not made to feel welcome nor was I thanked for my purchase of a cologne. I like their products certainly, and I would consider buying from an online source (which works out cheaper) but I would be reluctant to inject cash into their Jermyn street shop unless their customer service has a complete revamp.

Wouldn't this art of shaving be more appealing if the prices of the necessary items be a little cheaper? After all, obama is making everything else more expensive. Shaving on these terms is now considered an extreme luxury. The US is now facing death panels for the older citizens. Shaving is now a considered a failing art form.

Robert Bailey blades are roughly .03-.11 a blade. I can get 100 blades that can be used 4 times for $7. 12 cartridges are $60 after tax. The shaving cream last forever and there are TONS of scents...its worth it. Not to mention it's a better, smoother amd closer shave.
