I've started to look at how D Smoke always has women displayed in his videos in a position of power, respect and appreaciation. It is such a huge contrast from how women are portrayed in the majority of rappers' videos and lyrics these days. I'm not even American, or from an African American background but I admire this so much! Black women seen and shown with the respect they are owed. That is how the kings do it! Much love

I fell in love with D Smokes music and told my friend about him. She told me he won Rhythm & Flow. Had no idea. Went and watched it all in 2 nights. He won from the moment he auditioned. His raps were waaaayyyyy more intellectual and thought out than anyone else's. His music has what we been missing. A close Kendrick Lamar, but even Kendrick is missing what this here fella has. DSmoke is definitely a GREAT artist and "SUPA GOOD" but there is no need to hate on mumble rap if it doesn't move you. It's just another branch on the hip hop tree that speaks to those that like it. Congratulations to everyone that's branching out in their own directions and influencing the world through their craft. That is what hip hop has always been about since day one. The older generation before us said it wasn't real music and wouldn't last. 40+ years later and it's still growing, evolving and entertaining billions.

Its not about hate towards Mumble Rap at all. Its about how the crowd it inherets is, and the attention it causes in the youth. Rap was never about that, im talking about just bopping your head to a beat. Rap/Hip-Hop is done at its best when you bring lyrical word play and dope beat together to depict an image in your head of a story, something you went through, or things that are really happening is said. It's the type of Rap that gives you goosebumps when a good bar hits your eardrum and you can relate. Thats why most good rappers stay underground. It's all about what makes the most money these days. But nevermind in just an ordinary person with an opinion.
