Three great Aussie artists in all forms, from music, to comedy, to writing, to painting, they were one of the great acts that showed Australia that we are world-class...even though we always were. ...and how innovative were they?

Welcome to Australian talent. These guys, Paul in particular, show what Australia can do in art.

From their peak, when they could make you laugh, cringe, worry (if you were in the first three or four rows) and actually feel something. By degrees they fell from those heights, but the songs, the memories, they still evoke those days. Paul's voice is still great, Richard disappeared into the ABC, and Tim... well, we all love Tim. How could we not? I saw them many times, in those days, and still listen to their one and only album. Come on guys, it's time for the second album. I maintain the faith. It will come. Soon. Surely, soon.

I challenge any three people to pick up a guitar and do that that song better. Although Paul is the centre piece of that clip, full credit MUST go to Tim And Richard. Their harmonies are second to none. Kudos to the three of them.

Have the video of this performance that I bought around 20 years ago. Still awesome.

it’s sad that DAAS has been so criminally underrated as musicians and comedians, but I think this particular song shows one of the reasons most people just don’t understand the humour the anarchistic nature of it there was no limits, no boundaries they wouldn’t cross and in the now offence era we need that.

We had this on a single cassette tape from the Icon album. Absolutely magic. As much as people dis Paul and the gang it can't be overlooked their covers were always such works of art. Thanks for posting!!!

This version is great, as is the one they did at the AFI awards in 1989(?) with a full orchestra. I used to have that on video until someone taped over it. I still have it on audio, fortunately.
