Stipend , Subvention , maintenance allowance , grant , subsidy or reward as a matter of recognition of his talent , ability or scholarly achievements . Alas ! He was a man worth being weighed in gold on daily basis . What a superman of a Genius .

The first Sher, daayam pada hua tere dar par nahi hu me, can be interpreted as regret or praise. I wish I was a rock that remained on your doorstep forever (to stay near you).

Mr. Gupta. ...you are doing a phenomenal job. For this gazal...dayam pada hua....there are few more shers which you didn't cover. Can you cover the third and the second from the last. ..the meaning of all words are known to me however I am still unable to understand the meaning of the entire sher. ...is there any way to contact you more frequently for asking such questions.

This is a good way.. a few of up manage the channel. You may write at film.bombay@gmail.com as well. However Kavita kosh / Rekhta are two substantial resources that you'd surely find pretty helpful, we think!

Urdu Studio they all provide the meaning of the specific words but not the whole meaning.

Rekhta is definitely a good Source. But the way this video explains is much better than reading. We hope to get more video's like these in which Ghazals especially Ghalib is explained
