So do I....forgot how ugly DAB-Z was until I downloaded it again 😉

What is it headunit you are running? Can you control your heating via the headunit? Do you have electronic heater controls or the dial controls? I dont think dab+ would effect AC. 🤔

@@whatsdavedone104 Thanks for the feedback. 1. I installed a Chinese generic unit fr.aliexpress.com/item/1005002907588004.html?gatewayAdapt=glo2fra&spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.21ef5e5bfLxAwb 2. No direct control via the head unit but when using the VW OEM controls I see the corresponding icons pop up on the bottom of the head unit screen. 3. I use standard OEM push button controls for fan, air 🤔direction flow and dial to adjust temp. Just to add further info, I seem to loose the cool AC air even though I can still hear the fan operating at normal levels and is still adjustable but has no impact on effectiveness of AC cooling apart from the process of turning off car and a total reboot after restarting. Apologies for the lengthly reply but I am thinking of deleting the DAB+ App and loading the new DABZ App and see it fixes my issue ?

@@2010strobe so you get an icon on the unit when you adjust heater controls 🤔 in the setting of the unit there will be a screen and one of the tabs will say "menu icons" sounds to me like the icon for "air conditioning" is hidden off main screen. I can't remember off hand how to access the screen but it covered in another of my videos. Delete dab+ and see if it makes a difference. I will try and remember how to access "icon menu and get back to you.

@@2010strobe go to settings, then car information, down to bottom, about device. Middle row second icon down, menu icon. Within menu icon are lots of hidden icons, air conditioning will be there. Tap a blank space then tap air conditioning from list on left, icon will move. Tap save, then air conditioning will be on home screen.

Which headunit are you using? Do you have the DAB booster and aerial plugged in?

Dab-z was recently updated, when it's finished scanning for channel it will ask if you want to download station logos...since the Dab-z update it looks far better then dab+. @@whatsdavedone104 TY for your reply, but that's not what I asked. 🙂 You may have read quickly. However, I am interested in how to save the logo of the radio station in the DAB+ apk, not in DAB-Z. For DAB-Z it is clear to me - a long press on the radio station logo and the logo is saved. But that procedure doesn't work in DAB+.

There is a small signal amplifier in the USB stick, that needs a 5v feed from the head unit, that boosts the signal and sound.

Which head unit? Have you tried clearing phones partition cache?

@@departe5672 UK overseas territories (Bermuda, BVI, Falkland Islands, etc..) don’t have DAB, but they only have FM and AM, NOAA WEATHER BAND RADIO in Bermuda, SiriusXM works and reached Bermuda. Dutch Caribbean islands have FM and AM.

DAB radio only works through DAB aerial....if you want DAB you need booster and aerial. Other option is Internet radio which requires your phone hotspot and uses you mobile data.

Double check all connections, usb dongle plugged in and aerial screwed tight to it. Have you grounded the dab aerial to the car body? If everything is correctly connected then uninstall dab+ and reinstall or try downloading dab-z from playstore and see if that works. If that is also not working then there is a fault somewhere 🤷

Check to see if there is a update waiting for dab+

I live down in Dundrum/ Newcastle....if you have an android headunit then all you need for DAB is a DAB booster ans aftermarket aerial....see amazon link amzn.to/3whGCb3

I prefer layout of DAB+....but unfortunately DAB+ isn't compatible with android12 so I have to use dab-z on my Eonon VWA12S 🙄

It's it an aftermarket aerial and booster? Is the aerial grounded to the car body....the copper section of aerial needs to be in full contact to ground the signal

any chance 12v fm antenna booster causing problems?

@@whatsdavedone104 its on the va13 running android 13. The adapter lightscyp so i know the booster is fine but can't be recognise by DAB app

Sounds like you need to go into setting, then apps, find dab+ on the list, tap it and allow permissions....think that's the order

Switch.off in settings.... click.on cog then its in one of them

Tap and hold the required station to add to favourites
