Absolutely not. The RU6 is a blatant example of a product that should be discontinued for disingeous marketing! It is like dining at a 5 star hotel but being served on a old wooden plate covered in mud.

I wish more reviewers would look at the ifi go bars both of them

@@siddharthjaiman4712 interested to hear why you dislike it so much? Edit - especially curious now that I've just plugged my RU6 into my phone with my AKG K361. It sounds lush to me but I'm always open to hearing other views

@@reflection1119 I've heard it at the store a few times. It's incredibly tempting to taste r2r for such a price. But my main issue is that it measures nearly half as well as they stated on their own website. The main simulated test of music (multitone sweep) shows distortions in the audible range of even 16bit CD quality audio.

Huh, rated noise floor is worse than the BTR5 on both outputs, and almost twice as bad on BAL vs. "PO" (SE). Strange.

@@JohnClarkW bigger battery and more power draw, so effectively pretty much the same battery life as BTR5, sadly.

@@daveelgee2008 I actually figured out that pressing two buttons swapped the vol and next track controls. BUT.. do it dongle? like actually hang or is it a back mount like the Honey H1?

@@ZReviews Admittedly, it is a back mount, but because you can attach the Tea to the back of the phone magnetically the headphone jack ends up forward-facing and reduces tension on the USB cable. It's a method I employ when the Tea is running low on power, and it is a superior sound quality. Although I use the Tea as a separate Bluetooth unit 90% of the time. Keep up your excellent reviews, you are my litmus test for a sound signature.

6XX if you have nice amps or tubes, 58x if you have nothing. They are easy and don't change much.

Otg cables are finicky. The one that came in my hidizs s9 pro straight up didn't work. I had to use my Samsung charging otg cable. Even then I have to plug it in a very specific order and orientation or it won't work on my phone. For whatever reason windows is less picky. His fumble in the video is really not anything at all out of the ordinary. Otg cables should be labeled with ARROWS and WORDS and clearly they are still frustrating. I bought a ddhifi otg cable and that does have arrows.

@@razetw Why say that Colibri is the best? EarMen (Colibri) apparently delivered their product without a cable and most importantly, we didn't see it in action like their competitors. LeoC, with all due respect to you as a person and the work you do to inform us by presenting products. It is reviews like yours that make us decide whether or not to buy a product. I have bought and resold a few products thanks to reviews like yours, I am always looking for the perfect product. I'm mostly looking for a reason to buy a new one, since I already have a product that does the trick. I thank you for responding despite my harsh words. It is a proof of maturity.

It worked just fine. The cables I was swapping to were a PIA. BTR5 is still bae, but so is ifi Go Blue and the new Beam 3. ALL BLUETOOTH UNITS. Which this event wasn't directly covering.

@@ZReviews It's a real shame there was no comparison with the BTR5 in wired mode. The moment you mentioned it I bacame elated, as it's the only one I've heard out of the bunch. I could only dream to stumble upon such an unlikely (somehow) comparison. What was the issue you've encountered trying to use BTR5 in USB mode?
