When I found out that my wife Sandy was pregnant, it was a pleasant surprise because Sandy had told me things that suggested she couldn't be, so I didn't expect it. This was right before our date night. When I was reading her card, I thought she was talking about me raising a little human, aka Kobe. Unfortunately, two days later, we had a miscarriage. My only comfort was knowing she was only two weeks pregnant, and the egg may not have been fully developed. I still don't know how to feel about that. I know many women face this in silence. I think we need more conversations about it and certainly more education around it. However, 6 weeks later, we had great news again, but this time, I was mellow, just in case.
