Alfredo is a collaborative studio album by American rapper Freddie Gibbs and American hip hop producer The Alchemist. It was released on May 29, 2020, through Gibbs' own record label ESGN Records, as well as ALC Records and Empire Distribution.
The album is the first project between only Gibbs and The Alchemist, as it also marks the second time they have collaborated on a full-length project, following 2018's Fetti with fellow rapper Currensy. It features guest appearances from fellow rappers Rick Ross, Benny the Butcher, Tyler, the Creator, and Conway the Machine. It was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2021 Grammy Awards.

This project is phenomenal. Its transitions are so seamless. Your dad’ll love Alchemist. And he will soon realize that Alc is the goat producer. I feel like this project is also a great entry into this area of rap, so soon his ears’ll be prepared to listen to people like Westside Gunn and Boldy James

Freddie’s confident delivery and at times dark lyrics on top of the high class and jazzy Alchemist production makes the picture in my head of Freddie being a mafia boss

Alchemist transitions are crazy. On "The Alchemist Sandwich" the transition from The Hopeless Romantic to Massacre is soooo crazy. Sometimes I think about Massacre but hae to let both of the songs play, cause it's just so damn good

My favorite thing about Alfredo is that it is a product of 2020. The references to The Last Dance, Tiger King, the George Floyd protests, the lock down. It was my summer anthem and is still heavily in my rotation

The soft classy production of Pray for Paris with the heavy hitting and dark lyrics are perfect, came out the same year but a bit before too. Definitely worth listening to. Tyler is also featured on ‘327’ on it and he credits Westside Gunn for making him want to rap again. Benny and Conway from this album are on it a bunch too. You guys will love it

Never would have tried this album out and that's what I love about this channel, hearing people, especially your dad as a musician, being excited about music. It makes me so much more open to trying it myself without giving up too early. I would recommend Run The Jewels 3 as an album for you guys to try out, it's what got my dad and I into hip hop and I think it's a really interesting and well crafted album. It's crazy how personal experience affects your relationship with music. I'm from New Zealand which means this dropped heading into winter, so to me this album gives me very strong cold, dark wintery vibes, as I used to listen to this heavily on my way to work early in the morning that June-July. It's kinda weird for me to hear Connor say this sounds summery! That's why I love music though! Something to Rap About is probably the only song from this record to give me summer vibes.

I remember the release of this album quite well. WWaking up in my hammock hung over as fuck seing a notification from spotify that this was out. It was probably 5 or 6am, sun is up, rolled a joint and enjoyed. Still love this album.
