Sing about me when the girls voice starts fading away after she just said “ill never fade away” is symbolism for her actually slowly dying in real life . So like her sister she also died in this field , the only difference is that she died from being sick cause she didnt wanna go see the doctor “did i tell you that i physically feel great , a doctors approval is a waste of time i know im straight”

I love your dad. I love the way he can identify the universality of the experiences shared by Kendrick along with the musical value of it. He seems like such a down to earth and honest person; he isn’t the kind of dad who acts like he’s perfect and always did everything “right.” I hope to be a bit more like him in my parenting.

Great reaction! It's amazing to watch your father go from "I don't get how anyone can like music where someone is just talking" to this level of appreciation for music where someone is "just talking". From "u" forward he recognized the art and appreciated it for the masterful work that it was. Kendrick sets the bar very high for rappers you might consider introducing your father to in the future, but I can't think of anyone better to convince someone take the artform seriously. I hope you can manage to get a DAMN. reaction in before the new album comes out next week

Kendrick is a wonderful artist to get your dad to listen to for learning the art of rap. I would say you both should do Lupe Fiasco from Food & Liquor up to his Drogas Wave album in order. It would be great down the line and I am curious to see your dad’s thoughts on learning that there was a rapper proud of being Muslim as much as Kendrick and Kanye are of being Christian.
