Dad gets 2 magnets stuck during the fynger memorial magnet fishing competition and has to rescue them. They had to stop the whole competition and drain the entire lock so he could get down to them, can’t take dad anywhere!!

A fish tells another fish, "There I was just mooching around when all of a sudden there were bits of metal on ropes bombing me from all angles! Then, you won't believe this, it got worse! The water just began to disappear from all around me!" :)) Wow, I have never seen so many magnets flying around, that looked like a lot of fun! I wouldn't want to be wearing a suit of armour around there though!

George is quite a over excited lad when he finds something a bit unusual & as for coins he seems to go totally BONKERS!!! 😁😁😁😁😁 He is quite not only keen but, very enthusiastic young lad 😁😁😁😁😁😁😉.

Wow. The beginning was utter chaos, with people flinging magnets all over each other and I didn't know why everyone was so close together. Aha moment, i figured it out later. George is definitely competitive. I love your videos and subscribed recently.

Thank you for your comment, yes it was a bit chaotic! It was a magnet fishing competition, we were all searching for coins that had been numbered and thrown in the canal. Unfortunately the coins we found didn’t have the numbers on that were drawn out at the end so we didn’t win anything. Yes George is very competitive! We had a great time that day. Hi Judy yes it was confusing! t was a magnet fishing competition! We were all trying to catch the numbered tokens that had been thrown in beforehand. They then did a raffle at the end pulling numbers from a hat and then if any numbers on the tokens we pulled out matched the number drawn from the hat we would win a prize. Sadly we didn’t win anything. Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍

justinemct thanks for watching no it isn’t it is Shipley Lock near Eastwood Nottingham it was a memorial competition in memory of mrs fyngers husband called Kev who sadly died and he was a magnet fisher and thought up this idea of fishing for numbered coins from 1 to 100 for 1 hour then at the end of the hours fishing a number is drawn from a hat and the person that has fished out that same number on a coin wins the cash prize which is everyone’s £5 entry fee it was £115 prize this year me and dad didn’t win the prize but we did find 16 2p coins that were numbered and 16 2p coins that weren’t numbered so we were 64p up it was a nice day and it was nice to be there for mrs fynger it’s so sad that her husband died mrs fynger is the lady in the stripy blue top who is fishing next to me in the video 👍

Aussie Lady thanks for watching this was a magnet fishing competition in memorial of mr fynger who died he was the husband of the lady in the blue stripy top who I was fishing next to this competition was his idea when he was alive we were fishing for numbered coins and then at the end of the hour fishing a number is drawn from a hat and the person who has found the coin with that number on wins the cash prize which is everyone’s £5 entry fee it was £115 this year me and dad didn’t win but it was nice to be there for mr & mrs fynger and be part of it 👍

This was a magnet fishing competition, we were all trying to find coins that had been placed in the water. The coins were all numbered and at the end of an hours magnet fishing, numbers were called out. If you had found a coin with the corresponding number on it you won the prize. We found a lot of coins with numbers on, but sadly not the winning number 😬 Thanks for watching 👍👍
