Here is a rather expansive video of my dad’s layout. On the outside loop he is running his MTH Atlantic Coast Line F3s. The inside loop has his Williams L&N GP9.

Now that's how to do it! I expected to see the 42" O27 curves but nope. Just give enough clearance for the overhang from cars on curves. I think the lower height O27 is very realistic, especially with ballast. Thanks for sharing!

I like the creativity you put into this layout. You have a city, hills and mountains along with a main line. It's also very senic with trees and tunnels and a lake.

Amazingly beautiful layout!!! The Scenery, the ballasting, the water--all incredible. The operating accessories add an element of fun, which I believe is important. I like the track plan as well, lots of switches and route options and reverse loops etc. Excellent!

Amazing layout, spectacular scenery and beautiful track work. You and your father certainly have a beautiful layout! Out of curiosity, but I noticed that the rolling stock appears to be a mix of Lionel and MTH. Do you have any problems running these cars together from the various manufacturers?

Your layout is the best and I always refer to it while working on my layout. I am having a problem with my 027/42 switch tracks, at times the trains run smoothly through all 16 switches and other times when I turn my layout on, they smoothly for a while and then they start slowing down and even stopping. This has been going on for over 2 years and cannot find out what the problem is, none of my train buddies know much about 027 track, can you help me? I would be willing to pay you to come watch my trains run if you are local or know of someone who could help me.....I am so frustrated and about to give up this hobby.
