Killing Whitebeard isn't some shortcut to becoming pirate king. Also, Blackbeard is talking about becoming a commander when he said he had no ambition. If he didn't find the specific devil fruit that he was looking for he would still be a member of Whitebeard's crew.

anime ended the episode at such a stupid place that it creates confusion for people. Whitebeard said he told him to go so he take responsibility and Ace and world don't think Ace was stupid. Even when Shanks came to tell Whitebeard to stop Ace, Whitebeard didn't deny it and was ready to fight Shanks to defend his Son's honour

Here's the thing about Whitebeard's odd "Gurarara" laugh: it's based on the Japanese onomatopoeia for rumbling. The Tremor-Tremor Fruit is called the Gura-Gura no mi in Japanese.

He did tell Ace that the most unforgivable thing to do is to kill a fellow crewmember. Ace didn't care that everyone told him to not go, that Whitebeard told him this is an exception...He wasn't standing for it. So by proxy, Whitebeard told him to go. Hence Whitebeard taking blame. Since Blackbeard and Thatch were under Ace's command.
