This is a great question. I would love to hear some feedback from some actual users on this. It really depends on what your expectations are, and what metals you are working with. The main idea behind the Dado is affordability. We have welding systems that are capable of welding some very complex and intricate parts. The Dado was specifically designed for affordability, so if you compare our LZR 100 with the LZR Dado, there is a big difference. The Dado won't replace your torch, or a standard Laser welder. It is capable of many jewelry repairs, especially on Gold.

The 200i micro tig welder will weld silver much easier. They are quite a bit different in that the 200i will cover a larger spectrum of possible applications, metal types, and workpiece sizes. But don't get me wrong, the Dado is a great machine for most repairs too. Let me know if you would like more information!

This system would not be ideal for that but I am sure you could cut the ring at a V and make it work.
