Tell your dad Jungkook has to go into the military for 18 months. . This album blew up but instead of capitalising on its success financially most of his performances were free for fans either on shows, utube collabs or concerts like his pop up concert in Times Square which ended up enormous despite no forewarning. Bts has always provided the highest quality productions for their fans. They never skimp. As a result we don't talk millions we talk Billions of views.

Thank you for your reactions. I noticed the skipping several times. If you’re doing it to avoid copyright issues, no need to worry. As long as you play the BigHit intro with logo, you can react to entire song and upload it without having to cut, cover, edit. As an Army, I prefer to watch the whole uncut versions with reactors, even if we watch the same songs over and over. Hope to see more BTS reactions from you and your dad. He’s pretty cool!

Jung Kook's album Golden basically tells a story of a romance from the beginning to the end. At the beginning it's about a long distance relationship and when they are finally together the relationship becomes chaotic and eventually by the end of the album he's crying " a shot glass full of tears". As for the budget for BTS there apparently isn't one but they do have a commitment to excellence.

I‘m generation usher too, purely from my age. But I have to say that the original MV has blown my mind! From the music, the dancing, the location and the expressions from JK it reminds me to the good “old” times where MVs told a story and were great visualized ! Plus for insiders (ARMY) many allusions to BTS! But for one and first time looking it might be a bit too much so I can understand your father…

BTS has an insane budget for the visuals. Plus they do multiple videos for one song. I think they get a blank check to do anything they want. 🤯

They didn't start out that way. The company almost went bankrupt before it even got off the ground. They've all worked very hard to get to this type of budgeting. So proud of them.

Your dad is funny! I enjoy hearing his POV. I love both versions, but I’m with your dad I like the original version a little more. It’s 10 out of 10 for me. Dad’s so funny rating a song on budget. I love him. I’m 68 and could care less about the budgets to each his/her own. 😂

Yay dad!! I agree with dad, the original is so good, it was perfect as is and didn’t need a remix. And I’m GenX ARMY, and I love Usher but it wasn’t needed. BUT I don’t dislike it, it grew in me, the performance video helped me because I love the performance video. Also let dad know BTS take mv production seriously, no budget constraints there. They work hard to only put out great work. 💜

Love you guys. This is nothing budgetwise. 😂 Shot in Budapest. The structures were already there, except for the stage. There is also a dance performance video. Wait till he sees Blood, Sweat and Tears. 😘💜🫰🏻🫶🏻

Agree, the biggest part of this budget was the labor cost for dancers and production staff to include the director and model. A Korean production company actually moved to Budapest because the production costs are so much cheaper there than in Korea or the states. If they had to build the structures used in this video in a soundstage in Korea or the US, the cost would have been enormous. Remember, in Jimin’s video for Set Me Free, they built that set with all the LED lights. He had a behind the scenes video that talked about the construction. Someone who works in the industry (production) stated they believe the cost was well over 1 million dollars. That makes that video in the top five most expensive videos filmed in K-pop. There was an article talking about the most expensive videos filmed in K-pop over the past few years. The music industry in the states tries hard to keep production costs for videos well under 250k for most artist of today. I do agree with her dad, I love the music and videos, but I am 60 with a long career in both government and business management where I dealt with budgets, labor pools, logistics, contracts,and more. I look at a video and my business hat is on along with my musical enjoyment hat. Keep the reaction videos coming. Please look at Jimin’s solo releases. Also, can’t wait for some of the artist your dad will recommend. I am Army and a new subscriber to your channel. 💜

The music producers on KZfaq talk about the overhead- they said it cost 1.5 million just to record the song probably by hiring people who were recording the instrumentals live and there’s only a few musicians in the world who can do that. A lot of overhead! 😂

I understand what ur dad is saying. We are used to seeing acts like MJ & Janet & Madonna & Prince & The Stones other big names have big production overheads but also smaller budgeted artists who gave really great productions with much smaller budgets. But the reason we tend to think about these things is cuz Record Companies &/or artists &/or media would release all the budget numbers but dnt miss understand ur father can very much fully take in all the visuals, music, & estimate the production budget all at the same time. It's just a Gen X thing.

Jungkook is one of his company money makers as part of Bts. The company doesn't care what they have to spend to make their videos outstanding. Bts bring into the country about 3.9 billion dollars a year. Show your dad the most beautiful moment by Rice Squad so he can get an idea of how Bts started. He'll see how a small company about to go bankrupt is now one of the top agencies in Korea worth billions because of Bts.

I'm with your dad, Usher is an amazing performer but I like jk's version better. One thing that I've noticed with people who are new to bts is they tend to get distracted with the visuals and we know how they always pop off with the visuals lol

I agree with your Dad the original MV is fire. It is rewarding on every level. Usher is big, znd I'm sure Jungkook was flattered when Usher wanted to colab, but he added nothing to the actual experience. BTS always presents the very best they can.
