HERE WE ARE. GOD I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M FINALLY UPLOADING THIS.
I started this video weeks and weeks ago, when the first episode of House of the Dragon was released. Then I started 15 others edits on them, since it become a huge, HUGE, HUGE obsession.
But lol they are not a new ship to me. I ship them since years, from the books, and this show is just... a dream becoming reality. I never expected Daemon and Rhaenyra, probably my biggest OTP of ASOAIF universe, to one day have an adaptation and even less to have SUCH A PERFECT adaptation. Matt Smith, Milly Alcock and Emma D'Arcy just... blow my mind away in their acting for these characters. And the writing of them is just perfect AND YES EVEN AFTER EPISODE 10. I see saw many people said that their ship was ruined by the end of the season and... people, what the fuck ?? Seriously ? I'm sorry but I don't understand any person who are disappointed by the end. If you are shocked by the fact that Daemon chokes Rhaenyra or because he didn't come when she was calling for him... well, I'm not sure of which books you read or what show you watched, because Rhaenyra and Daemon was always a toxic ship. They were NEVER good persons. I don't think that any Targaryen is, to be honest, but these two, in particular, are particulary dark, in the books AND in the show from the fucking first episode (don't you remember that we are talking about a men who seduced his teenage niece to get the throne ?). And... they ARE GOOD LIKE THIS PEOPLE. It's by being who they are, toxic, dark, with this little touch of romantism, that make this ship so good. Why trying to romantize them and see them as something that they're not ?
I don't understand the fandom reaction over them in the final. All of their moments in the episode 10 make sense with their characters, their writing and I'm glad that the writers was not cowards and didn't try to hide the darkest part of their personality and their relationship. For my part, I see in the episode 10 my OTP that I love from years being honored and respected. I'm happy for this, for Daemon and Rhaenyra, and I will stan for this episode.
But anyway. I'm happy about this edit. This is a song that I dream to edit since my dear Alexia edited it, years ago, to Vane and Eleanor (just here, if you are curious : • Fire Breather (Charles... ) and make me discover the song. And lol you will not see many things on my channel from now except them, because I basically only edited them these last weeks and now that I have the final season, I'm finally able to finish these edits and make them public.
Of course, meanwhile, many others editors already edited the songs I picked for them. I wished to wait to have the entire seasons and I will still make my versions public, since they will be DRASTICALLY different. Hope you will enjoy that one, and all of the others to come !
Oh and, #teamblack. But nobody touch Alicent on my ground. Or Aemond. Or Helaena. Yeah okay, I love the Greens too lol.

this is stunning!! i fucking stan them and people need to stop romanticizing daemon and this couple. as viserys said "daemon and rhaenyra have the blood of the dragon, they are reckless and chaotic" so they will never be healthy and good. i'm fully aware they're toxic af and that is part of their story. daemon is a fascinating character but he's also evil and cruel and people need to stop thinking he's a bad-boy-turned-good-because-of-love kind of a character and now cry that he's ruined because of that scene. he has always been terrible and we love him, not every bad character needs some redemption arc

Thaaaaank you so much deary! AND THANK YOU SO SO MUCH FOR THESE WORDS GOD I NEED TO HEARD THINGS LIKE THIS RIGHT NOW. Like seriously, fandom's reaction about them in episode 10 literally broke my heart because it's so ridiculous and childish and proved to me that the good part of their shippers... just didn't get them or have a fake image of them, an idealized image. PRECISELY, what said Viserys about them is important and just describe who they are. I'm so glad that I saw some people like you who understand them completely and love them for what they really are, because in truth, it's precisely for this toxic side that they are such an interesting ship! As you said it perfectly, Daemon always been terrible and this scene... is just him ? Just THEM ? Not every bad character needs redemption arc, that's the best thing I've heard since a long time, because it scream a real truth. Thank you again for your comment

I still wish his soft and emotional scenes of him shouldn't be deleted, because it is important to give balance to his ruthless scenes. But you are also right, I mean it is Daemon as he is, unpredictable, complicated, bold, like the true Targaryne should be. Daemyra is toxic, passionate, wild, like the true FIRE.

@@rahmatmanurung8133 Daemon can be soft and loving and cruel and toxic at the same time, he can be multidimensional. Of course, we all want soft and loving scenes but I wouldn't give up on them just because we also get their toxic scenes which are arguably more true to their characters.

These days, so many people in fandom in general feel the need to have every bad guy redeemed. Like nah, sometimes villains are just villains, let's just enjoy them for what they are.

I love the video. Honestly, I love all your edits for Daemon and Rhaenyra. Your work is absolutely superb and captures the essence of this pair so well. With that being said, I want to say I love what you wrote in the description. A lot of people completely whitewash and romanticize this couple but it's obvious from the start that their relationship, while passionate and fiery, is also dark and toxic. Daemon in episode 10 makes perfect sense to me and lines up with his behavior. I mean he killed his first wife for god's sakes - are people really drawing the line at choking his second wife but not all the other shit he's done? LOL. Daemon and Rhaenyra both clearly care for each other and yet can still be awful towards each other - that's the complexity of human nature. I'm happy to see another fan who understands this too, and I'll definitely keep supporting your work! :)

Damn, thank you so so much, it means a lot to me, really. And I thank you even more for what you said next! Like, I just didn't get the fandom after episode 10, and it pissed me off so much, like... they were dark since the beginning and like you said, Daemon in episode 10 make completely sense in his character and his relationship with Rhaenyra. People... just idealize them way too much, and it's terrible because... their dark part is actually what make them great and most of the fandom so doesn't love them for what they are, but for the image that they want for them. I'm really glad to see that these some persons in this fandom who still get it as well for them and who love them for this, like, in the first days after the episode, I was literally disgusted by the fandom reaction over them, but getting comments like yours make me feel less alone so thank you so so much for this

Bon dieu Océane que c’est beau et chaud !!! Je m’imaginais bien que tu allais nous sortir des belles grosses vidéos vu ce que tu nous teasais avec tes mots, mais je m’attendais pas à ce que ta longue série de vidéos sur eux commence aussi fort. Tu leur as très bien fait justice et on voit que tu y a mis tout ton cœur pour celle-là, c’est vraiment une de tes meilleures et encore je n’ai pas vu les prochaines. C’est à la hauteur de ton amour pour eux, brillant! En plus j’aime beaucoup mieux ce style que tu utilises maintenant. Que c’est bon !!! Je me souviens de cette chanson que j’écoutais en boucle il y a quelques années quand elle est apparue dans un épisode de Vampire Diaries, lol. J’aurais pas pensé à ce combo mais encore une fois tu me surprends (dans le très bon sens du terme), parce que ça leur va tellement bien, et ça fait un peu partie des chansons oubliées auxquelles j’aurais pas réfléchi si je cherchais des idées de chansons. Chapeau bas! Et tu as raison, ceux qui critiquent n’ont pas l’air de se rappeler qu’ils sont toxiques, même moi en n’ayant pas lu les livres, je m’en doute! Alors, faut vraiment être con. Personnellement, c’est toxique ? Tant mieux, c’est comme ça que j’aime le plus mes couples fictifs. Je te rejoins sur tous les points.

Daemon y Rahenyra joven tenían mucha química, transmitían esa conexión y pasión por eso muchos nos encantamos con ellos, pero lamentablemente se perdió con Rahenyra adulta😔 ya no es lo mismo, ella y Matt Smith 0 química.
