In today’s video we are checking up on our plot of turf in the bog and having a look at our 15 ton daewoo digger bogged in a bog hole. We can’t get over how easy she starts. We also start planning how we are going to get it out and what it’ll take to do the job

Ha Am looking at the computer going in father Phil’s head !!!! He already has a plan to get the track machine out I had a problem like that a very long time ago I made pads out of 5 sleepers joined together Worked a treat !!! Will definitely look forward to this video

Up here in the Western Isles Scotland its banned to lift peat/turf with the sausage machine. But back in the 80s and 90s these machines made a real mess of the moorland big deep bogs and puddles where it was once sold damp/wet ground. Most of the time we manually cut it with a peat iron or tairsgear as we call it here, unless you are willing to pay for a digger to cut them

@@DirtIndustry where I live we are wait for them to impose a ban they tried to before but because it was such a tradition many ppl fought back and over turned the ban. Cutting peat/turf is when you would meet up with the whole family, since we live on a small island it was a big deal as even family that lived on mainland UK would come up for a week or 2 to help. But sadly these days are few and far between as the younger generations want the easy life and usually scared of a but of hard work

sausage machines are gone here in south west Ireland as well they damaged the top of the bog. but thats not "sausage" turf its a big hopper that presses out 6 or 10 tubes at the back. So u get about a meter wide by 100 members long. "

@@DirtIndustry its the only local resource we can burn, but there is laws that we can not sell it but you can pay people to cut peat/turf. While the rest of Scotland people can cut and sell

Well worth getting out Trying to get trailer load of turf when feeding cattle in morn nothing like smell of it. Livs mother is right nothing like smell of turf. Dublin hasent many bogs 👍keep her lit

Digger lying up for a year! Might make more sense to sell it and install solar on yer large expanse of shed roofing. Know some people are still mad for turf but time to move on. Gluttons for work in fairness.

re bonjour j ai déjà sorti de grosse pelles de 18 tonnes dans des marais il faut la levé de face et lui mettre des troncs d arbre au maximum au milieux des chenilles jusqu' au devant et une autre pelle devant elle aussi sur des troncs et godet dans l autre godet et tire , c est pas facile mais elle devrait sortir , un bon courage a vous pour la suite 👍👍👍👍

You really should have dipped the engine for oil before you started the digger. Maybe someone charged the batteries and checked the fluids before the camera was turned on. A new battery will lose all its charge after 6 months and probably will never hold a charge again.

You're wrong if you don't buy a Daewoo loader to replace the Venieri. Also, I love Ireland and all the Green Religion BS, until they talked about banning turf... No fracking to get clean natural gas, but let's burn turf, lads! LOL
