Operation menu will vary depending on model of recorder and firmware. Up to date fw can be found on dahuawiki.com.
This was done on N52B3P nvr with fw build date 200221

This is the only setup video that is clear and easy to watch. The other Dahua setup vidoes are horrible.

i plug in same and get nothing for cam display . Good to see there is a setting to NOT log you out. Good setup if I gete something to display from the beginning. I have my cams going to a 8 sw. box; also going to the router. I have the nvr wired direct to the router also.should work ok the same as the nvr cable plugged into the switch box. ?

Great video. I have the Dahua XVR with 4x 5MP HDCVI cameras connected to it. Do you know why on channel 1 I can select upto 20fps but for the other 3 channels it will only let me select upto 7fps. All cameras are identical and all the other settings are the same. It’s really frustrating and I just can’t work out what’s going on. Thanks

This video has been very helpful, but I have a quick question. When trying to playback to save videos I don't have any of the controls to edit and download. I have play/pause, stop, then volume, then the tag button, and full screen option. The remainder of my tool bar is empty, do you know I add the other items for downloading? I am the admin with all permissions turned on.

Hi I lost connection to the NVr- I tested to cat 5 going to nvr and its fine -- How come the NVR not picking up the network anymore? Is there a way to format the whole set up and start fresh -

Opening any ports on your router makes me feel ill. I'd suggest a VPN at a minimum. Good video non the less.

Hey Chris. I've solved the problem. While you know that, Hikvision has a little bell on the top right of the screen that appears when an alarm is triggered, what about Dahua, how do you know if the alarm has been triggered when there is no notification shown on PC screen, like Hikvision. Any ideas?

You have set up the IVS (Intrusion) only for two cameras. Can you please tell me if IVS can be activated and set IVS rules on more than 2 cameras? After I add "Intrusion" rules on two cameras, for the third camera I keep getting the message that the maximum number of AI rules has been reached (or something like that).

Hi. My xvr box is the same as that one my box used to hold about 5 weeks of recording now only does 48 hrs can u tell me why that would be? The box was unplugged for a 8 hrs a few weeks ago and we’ve just had DST on 30th Oct apart from that I can’t figure it out. Thanks.

Question, how do I find/enable the scrubbing tool (frame previews above the time bar on playback)? The little red pointer icon is non-existent on my NVR. I recently purchased the NVR5216-16P-4KS2E with NVR 4.0. BTW I upgraded from the NVR4216-16P-4KS2 with the main goal of obtaining the GUI with user friendly search features. Great video, but I am a bit disappointed with the search scrubbing tool issue.

3.45 pm. The video doesn't explain anything about the warning message that warns intruders, how to change the messages and set the time for messages, example: from 8pm to 7 am it warns intruders and during the day it doesn't.

how to fix the big bug. if you loose power you have to relog back in. Great if your traveling and remote. Should have auto log back in and start in full auto where you left off.

many Alhua apps on google play. Whats needed; what version ? Whats not needed other than this one shown ? Build dates, latest. if online does not tell us; we don't know . Great demo; wish it worked.

sure need this ! sure not ez with whats defualt and whats needed using 3bb network. here in Thailand. How to keep it from asking it for my logon. As long as the pc screen and page it open I don't need to keep entering in my password with a crypic on screen keyboard. Should have had a usb for keyboard also.

Nice video on V4 NVR OS.. I still have a problem, i can only record ALL.. not motion.. I've set up everything like in this video, scedule's, cam settings etc, but no yellow and/or blue "blocks" in the timeline.. weird. Guess I am doing something wrong, but i dont know what.... ow.. and.. 8 cams connected, system is soooooo sloooowwww....

For the life of me i cant figure out why it only records and allows replay of the last 60mins. Schedule shows 24hr recording, HDD calculation shows 36days of recording should be available. Please help

It Mean all channels will play back in sync (at the same time), but only up to 4 channels using up to 5MP cameras per channel

Why did you use DHCP to select an IP address for the NVR? I would expect a Static Address.

Quick basic setup and relying on P2P for remote access. Can of course select static after pulling an IP. For those that know how to port forward and setup ddns or use public IP, they would of course do their connection of choice.

My dahua NVR p2p was online for about 5 months and was able to remote view using the DMSS app. It went offline and now unable to get it back online. Tried factory reset but no luck. Network settings were never changed. I can view using ip/domain using port 37777 in the local network. Any suggestions?

You have wrong IP. open network UpNp and choose Wan IP Enter that in DMSS App device.

@@morejelloplease The latest version may not be on the Cloud service yet. You can retrieve from Dahuawiki.com . This latest fw is only for N42xx,N52xx,N54xx recorders. Updates for other models coming soon.

For a Dahua XVR with 16 analog and 8 IP channels there is no info for adding ONVIF IP cameras, or resolving their IP address conflicts. Can't find any software that will change ONVIF camera Ip address or change port number. Why does Dahua use ONVIF yet provide no info to resolve non-Dahua camera Ip conflicts?

Log into the Onvif camera, set IP to same range as XVR IP address... XVR menu, enable IP channels, system will reboot, now go to Menu>Camera>Registration>Manual Add> choose Onvif , enter IP username and pw.... Camera should come online, if it does not, you may have to check in the cameras menu if Onvif is disabled and also what version of onvif it has, update fw if possible if it is still supported by original manufacturer... If still no luck, Dahua cams pair up nicely with Dahua recorders

@@christopherrobertson9353 Everything is enabled for Ip camera usage. Only 4 cameras can retain their green light status. Other 4 won't maintain status due to Ip #/port # conflict. Dahua XVR built on Aug, 2019. Dahua cams I believe don't have 23 lights, a siren, or 128GB sd card backup storage. They are all made by the same conglomeration. Choice between a 23-63 led ( $60.00 ) Chinese IP camera (very good ), or a $400.00 RS485 camera? Hmnnn...
