Kept Peugeot for a week, ended up selling it. Somehow it lacks the complete package. Looks no doubt, no match but overall features were hard to use. No 360 camera, no adaptive cruise or adaptive lights, climate control was hard to use, maybe it's just me but it was very odd car for me. The wipers level on right, the bonnet opener on passenger side, to summarize it was way too advance and everything was bit odd. Loved the acceleration though, super fast.

Peugo looks you say, right? There are so many blind spots in peugo. Also the steering wheel is placed so oddly that you can’t “look” at the speedometer to get idea of speed etc.

Japanese never thought of sunroof in many of their cars.

I could not push myself to pay such a high amount for Nissan note hatchback when i can get a compact SUV in the same price. Nissan fuel average sounds good until it’s time to service or replace batteries, that’s when cost saved by its hybridicity get neutralized leaving you with a hatchback in the price of compact SUV.

you see rarely on the road because it is not launched here nor assembled here. though there is no comparison between a sedan and compact segment SUV but lets just compare your "too small, too slow and fuel words. " Elantra does 0-100 in around 9s, rocky does in 10s(the draggy is not syncd well in above video, if you look closely the meter is at 100 in 10s) Mileage, rocky/raize easily does 13-15 in summers with AC in city, What Elantra has to offer here? fuel issues? it runs fine on 92 ron though 95 is recommended, world has moved on to even 98 ron, all turbo cars are made to be run on 95, it is not the fault of the car. Too small? not sure how its small when it can comfortably fits 4 people with enough leg room Now does elantra comes with 8 airbags? blind spot monitoring? ADAS like lane keep, autonomous braking, adaptive cruise? or adaptive headlights? the ground clearance is much better than elantra. There are other hidden features that are not even discussed in the above video, like auto parking, options of 4 cluster dials, it also alerts when you standing on signal and it turns green, tells you direction of your wheels and list goes on. elantra is just for those who are stuck with local corolla and civic. Again there is comparison between two mentioned cars but I'm jusr surprised with your comment/knowledge.

Agreed. There are way too many local options in this price segment. Personally I would go for stonic or a used Peugeot 2008. Plus if the point of buying such a car is average, then why not go for a stonic (similar or perhaps even better fuel average) or perhaps a hybrid (like aqua).
