These are the main daily jobs that get done on the dairy farm. Milking, feeding, and bedding the corals. Winter is here and things around the farm always slow down!

I can't get over your dairy or you. I used to work in Central California, the land of dairies, and I always felt so sorry for the cows. Your place is so clean and the cows hold their heads up and look alert and interested. Are most Canadian dairies like yours? If they are, how nice for the cows.

john balme I agree! Especially the easy on the eyes! Too bad I live in California LOL. I took over raising beef cattle after my dad passed away. I’m a 26 year old single only child lol so it’s me and about 27 employees that deal with my ranches on a daily basis. Live his work ethic and he’s also very intelligent as well. 100% props to him! It all cost money. If you see nothing but new equipment, tractors, barns, sheds ect it's probably all leased or bank owned. Older thre equipment the more chances a farm owns it outright.

Huge facility. Hard to believe you only milk about 250 cows ? How many times per day do you milk ? You have a LOT of responsibility ! All that equipment to maintain on top of cow maintenance ! Kudos to you young man ! I would love to see a video that tells how you got started. I assume this is a multi generation farm. Do you have a video that covers that that I haven’t come across yet ? GREAT job videoing and editing, etc. You love what you do and it shows.

I’m learning a lot! I had no idea what goes into a days work! I love that you explain in detail for people like me who know absolutely nothing lol. I do have a question, I think I know the answer but I’m asking anyway. Why do you take the calf’s away from the mother as soon as they are born? I felt heartbroken seeing them sit alone in the stall. Doesn’t the mom get depressed? Wouldn’t it be better for them to get that healthy stuff from mom instead? Yellow milk)

Can you please help with this this question I have, iv asked around and gotten no responses . I bought about 3 gallons of colostrum from a local farm, however, it has tiny black/dark brown specs in it and I wondering if its because they didnt filter it. But the real question is if its normal to filter out black/dark brown specs to begin with? Is that something that normally shows up in a filter? I asked the farm but they said it could be because the cow didnt lactate for months and it could be dirt....but im not sure if they are implying that there is some dirt coming from inside the cow and out into the milk, OR, does this mean the cows utters were dirty on the outside and it wasnt cleaned? I have had colostrum before from another farm and never noticed that. This colostrum was also grainy when I drank it and they said that was normal which IDK for sure since when I had other colostrum, I never noticed it being grainy in texture. When someone else picked up the phone they gave me different answers so I dont really know what the truth is. I just want to know so I dont risk drinking anything contaminated, what do you think? I mean if its dirt or something else and had bad bacteria in it im assuming leaving it in the milk could promote bad bacterial growth . Any insight would be very helpful seeing I cant get answers anywhere.

Yes, even us city dwellers heard about the protesting farmers in NL. The world has gone crazy. You guys are growing more than enough food for 7.7 billion people thanks to your hard work and fossil fuels. Keep up the good work. Do not listen to the activists and naysayers. Your work is important and appreciated.
