Yeah, tough life huh? 😂 The daily actually has hood struts, but they've given up. Using the prop rod on my swap car. I really need to find some new struts.

I have a question i just recently replaced my fan and fan clutch and new thermostat but my 92 gt still overheats any help or suggestions please would be highly appreciated

Is the radiator up to par? What temperature thermostat did you install? How old is the water pump?

@@daveg9002 could be either if those not performing well. I have the SVE radiator in my car and it works very well. I'd definitely suggest upgrading yours if you think it may be underperforming.

are these fans prone to failure? I'm doing the radiator this winter if it makes sense to change the original fan while i'm in there?

As they age, the clutch can wear out, blades can crack or break, etc. Do a thorough inspection and replace if necessary. If it has a lot of age, it may be a good idea to replace it anyway.

Beautiful fox vert. I have a question i just changed fan clutch fan radiator overflow reservoir radiator cap water pump thermostat and heater core hoses and my 92 gt still overheats any opinions or suggestions will highly appreciated. By the way my catalytic converters sound like one is clogged.

Did you change the radiator itself? Sounds like you done everything else.

@@daveg9002 you've changed everything, sounds like. My thought now is the thermostat actually opening. Does the upper hose get stiff and hot? What temperature is the thermostat?

I have a question i recently bought myself a 92 ford mustang gt 5.0 convertible a few months ago for some reason it started overheating it has like 3 modifications ford racing spark plug wires bbk headers and h pipe mufflers i just replace the overflow sensor with the radiator reservoir and radiator cap and it still overheats i burp the air on the radiator coolant but it still overheats my concern is i hope is not the head gaskets the guy who sold it to me told me it needed a fan clutch any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Turn the fan by hand. It should turn, but not too freely. If it turns freely, the clutch could be bad. Also inspect for any movement of the fan, like I found on mine. Inspect the fan itself for any broken blades or cracks. Let me know what you find.

Would a 160 thermostat be ok for a 93 mustang?

I've run a 160 before, but I honestly wouldn't go lower than 180.

What temp tstat are you running? Stock fan?

Im currently running a stock fan im thinking of replacing it today just to give it one more shot but its running really hot to the N mark soon as i drive it ..but not while its worming up when i start it sits fine

Do you notice a drop in temp when the tstat opens? With the engine off, does the fan spin easily by hand?

No i don't notice a drop on it when it opens up....but too be honest im spin the fan here in a few wen there's Light out it should it spin around?

Tstat could be bad out of the box. But, you should notice when it opens. The upper radiator hose should get hot and hard to squeeze. The fan should spin, but not freely. You should feel some resistance from the fan clutch.
