I love the point of finding and doing hobbies WITH the kids, not separate from them! Gardening, crochet, knitting, music, dance, reading, fitness, and drawing are all great options I do with my two toddler sons. Keep these videos coming -- on your own schedule, of course ;)

Yes! I've been trying to do more of this recently. I am a dance teacher and I've had a hard time getting back into since my daughter was born 5 months ago. I've found that just listening to music in the background and making choreography notes throughout my day has been a way to keep my creativity going. Embroidery is also nice because it doesn't have as many little tools as sewing! Audio books have also been a great addition to our day.

Reading is my hobby 📚 I love reading under a tree while my kid’s play outside in the afternoon. I love that I can relax while modeling lifelong learning for my kids and still being there for them. Nature walks are refreshing to do with the kids too! Now I need to figure out how to exercise with them 😅

I love the idea of having a tidy routine. Knowing that there is a set time doesn't feel overwhelming. I know that I can't do everything, but getting the most important things done first makes it much more manageable and less stressful. I have let go of trying to be perfect... because the kids always have a different idea of what perfect means :)

I really enjoy your videos so much. You show us some beautiful moments in your filmography like the ones in your garden this time. I think it's very smart to make or start some of dinner early in the day if you can. Even getting a salad done and put in the fridge, or put something in the crockpot, would be so helpful to an easier evening when you are tired. Great idea!

Okay, one, you're incredibly gorgeous. Just stunning. And second, this video came into my feed at the best possible time. I just had my second four months ago. My girls are only 15 months apart and dealing with PP issues and managing both of them is exhausting on a level I could never have imagined. I've been struggling with feeling like my children are chores and that is a nightmare I never thought I would live. Thanks for reminding me of things I already knew and offering the things I didn't.

God has blessed you with much wisdom, thank you for sharing! I had three boys in two years, ages 2¾ & twin 19 month olds (14 months apart) and it is easy to feel frustrated at them when I can't get my tasks done. I will try the set reading time, as they love books! You've given me lots to implement. God bless you ☺️

The timing of this video couldn't be better. Thank you! My daughter is 5 months old and I've been struggling recently. I've started implementing various tips from different moms I follow on Instagram and KZfaq. Decluttering, consistent nap time, giving her independent play time, etc. We are only a few weeks in and I've already noticed a difference! It also helps that she is getting to a stage developmentally when she can entertain herself more. Another thing I've noticed for myself - training kids is great (and I'm not really there yet because my daughter is so young) BUT I've also noticed that I need to train MYSELF. I've been working on training myself to not get distracted by my daughter. When I am listening to my husband tell me about his day, and the baby is sitting on my lap and screaming, I am trying to focus on my husband. If she is wiggling a ton during church, I am training myself to not get distracted by that. It's hard! But I've come to realize that I can't let her take up 100% of my focus. It isn't fair to those around me, and it also isn't fair to her. As she gets older, she'll need to understand how to be respectful of others and that things don't always revolve around her. Even at 5 months old I am trying to take the long view and my husband and I am implementing things now for the future. ❤

It's so nice to see you! I always appreciate your wisdom and I agree that your kids are your main focus right now, and I think you have your priorates in the right order. They are blessed that you realize how fast this time in their lives is going to pass, and that you take the time to read to them and play with them outside. I'm glad you make some time for yourself, and your husband too, and that you know how important having a quiet time with God and reading the Bible are. Your mom must be so proud of the woman, wife and mom that you are!!

This was so wonderful and informative! Your points are always so well explained. I’m definitely feeling all of this as a mother to a 4 year old and a 1 year old. I feel like I haven’t been able to find my groove since having my second baby, and I often feel completely at the end of my tether and hate feeling like a grumpy mum. Definitely going to start implementing some of these tips! 💛

I love the idea of prepping dinner before dinner time bc I get pretty stressed during that time as well! I’ve heard that idea before and I ought to implement it!

I just found you and am so grateful- your content is really hitting home with me right now. I have a 6 month old, and work from home part time, technically for the company I worked for before my pregnancy, and also for the two side hustles I had then too. Trying to keep our old house clean, be a good wife, work, and take care of our son is a lot! I think I definitely need a social media detox because it clouds my brain and keeps me from being present and content in my own life. Thank you for the many opportunities for self reflection and encouragement to keep perspective of what’s important to me!

Such thoughtful ideas! ❤ When my son, who is 8 now was young, he wouldn't like reading i suggested we "take turns" eaching each page or paragraph or sentence...he loved that idea. He a well reader now.

This was very timely and helpful for me today thank you! ❤ can you help me with ideas of how to keep kids busy and quiet during that mid-day quiet time? I have a 5 year old that I find can stay quiet for like 20 min activities but then wants to be with me and talk nonstop during “quiet time” and I struggle with lovingly getting her to understand that boundary

Have her stay in her room and play. Separation is key. Can’t expect a child not to talk to you if you’re in the same room.

I tried to do hobbies with my toddler but he’s not enjoying it at all! I love to workout. There is no chance of having fun with me. I try to listen to funny music and include him, buuuuut…. Reading is the same. I have no chance to do fun things with him 😅 children are so different I think it will be better when he gets older (he is 3)

So your tips for no burn out is to have no problems, perfect children who don't ask anything, be totally disconnected from the real world, have no friends and no outside the house time and finish your day's work at 9h PM. You don't know what burn out or depression or even real problems are and you should'nt be taking about that.
