This shows my daily Life in Weligama, Sri Lanka. It's filmed the day before curfew started, but life hasn't changed much even after quarantine started. We're still allowed to go out from 6am - 2pm every few days, and there's no panic here.
My quarantine life is mostly looking at the beach from my balcony, exercising at home instead, then going out every 3rd day to buy fresh fruit, groceries and for a surf.

Loved your video bro! I was there around the same time. There’s another cheap breakfast and lunch spot a little bit further north from where you stayed. Super cheap and delicious. The surf there is amazing. Can’t wait to be back

So cool!! I actually remember seeing you in Native with your computer a couple of times!! I was thinking you were probably doing some remote work. :) I was in Weligama for almost 2 months and left Sri Lanka just when the curfew started...I miss it so much!!!

I was only planning to travel for 4 weeks - doing a Workaway in Jay Walker Hostel (so right next to Native) :D Then decided to extend my visa and stay until end of April because it was so nice there and I had the time for it. But because of Corona I came back to Denmark, where I live. It was mostly because I was afraid not to be able to get back to Europe when I wanted to. But quarantine over there is not that bad, I wouldn't mind being in Weligama right now :D :D In Denmark things are surprisingly chill compared to the other countries. They even consider opening some pre-scools soon. It's really nice to be able to still follow what's going on there, it really felt like home for me.

Yes these days Burritos is my lunch.. Try Kottu in Sri Lanka if you haven’t tried yet.. it’s a dinner item usually.. you might find little too hot though.. so watch.. give a try.. my favorite when I visit there..

Nice video! As some other people said, it's so nice to watch while we are unable to travel. Are you still there? How is the situation with the virus?

I'm here indefinitely until the situation in other countries get better or if things get worse here. But so far it's been fine. We're on 66 hour lockdown, which means indoors for 2 days, then go out to the stores and beach for 1/2 day before going back indoors for another 2 days. But with the ocean view and nature around, it's not been so far. I'd much rather be there than most places.

wow... dear... I had seen your video in nomad sumit youtube channel few days ago.. but I couldn't find your channel.. however I could find in my country.. It's incredible. however you should stay safe because of covid-19. I'm also enthusiastic with digital nomad

We're actually on lockdown now, but are allowed out every 3rd day. There isn't much freaking out though still.

I have a mid 2012 apple air..they tell me the new ones are junk. So I am wondering with all your connections what is the intelligent middle mans macbook moving forwards...BTW always play your podcasts on my long drives and am a big fan. I am going to look at Sri Lanka as soon as flights open up.

In general, upload speeds and data caps suck in Sri Lanka, especially outside of Colombo. It's "getting better" though if your hotel owner buys a better plan: www.johnnyfd.com/2021/02/why-i-spent-entire-year-in-sri-lanka.html

I've eaten at Dulnetha's a few times, it's pretty good as well. But not as good as Mama's for sure.
